Well thats thanks to your efforts to develop it of course (thanks by the way), and frankly in a world with a united south east asia with a population 10 times OTL levels, and african circumnavigations a thousand years earlier, a prosperous madegascar rather pales into insignificance don't you think.

Especially with the fact that somehow they managed to break away from a world power with only minor territorial concessions.

I can see you begin annoyed over the fact of what happened, but don't complain about its liklihood; if it wasn't possible I rather doubt das would have let it happen. Somewhat tangential, but given the incidencies of Black Earth (Terra Preta; pretty crazy stuff, self-replicating) and the accompanying stories of Francisco de Orellana, I'm surprised the Amazon isn't more populated in NESes. I remember a program on Discovery which estimated that by the time Orellana came through the Amazon was supporting a maximum possible population of some four million people...

There are certainly still unique land features in the savannah of Brazil (the cerrado) which are not natural. Elevated hills covered in trees with bases of terra preta, elevated lines linking them, terraces in the lower lands... It was definitely not always inhabited by mere tribes.

Well, technically your culture there is virtually eliminated, and in any case, Rome is dead (a nice book title, btw). But if its any consolation, NOBODY has any legitimate claims on it whatsoever. First come, first serve.

The ability of both of you to spell Khmeria wrong in different ways is shocking. Technical name is (and will continue to be) the Khmer Empire. Khmeria's just short-hand because writing Khmer Empire over and over again is annoying.

Of course it's possible; he just happens to be more inclined to let player rebellions succeed, especially during BTs... And my rebellions against world powers often have a tendency of failing, for some odd reason (Liberia and the Socialist India notwithstanding).

Err... Ask some people in NES2 VI. So many player-led revolts - in both ITs and in the BT - had failed, sometimes with the minimal mention and/or in humiliating circumstances.
