Lego Appreciation Thread (split off from Random Raves XLII)

Maybe it's my inner kid speaking again, but I ordered this set a couple days ago.

I am proud to announce that the set arrived and was assembled today, and let me now officially welcome to the world and to my collection a new LEGO fire truck

Hm, i did actually buy a lego set, back in 2004, iirc. But sadly discovered i couldn't connect at all to it, so threw it away :/
Maybe you need to order a custom set... I wonder if they'd make a LEGO person in the form of Kafka?

For Kyriakos..

........... Why you not sell it for euromonies ?

^What is the official explanation of there being 12 stars in the eu flag? (i mean it isn't number of countries)

Its a pentagram ?
Thank God they didnt use the Orginal E flag

You made me look.

Biblically 12 has meant ‘everything’.

See here:

The Council of Europe gives the flag a symbolic description in the following terms:

Against the blue sky of the Western world, the stars represent the peoples of Europe in a circle, a symbol of unity. Their number shall be invariably set at twelve, the symbol of completeness and perfection.

— Council of Europe. Paris, 7–9 December 1955[10]

Used to have piles upon piles of lego as a kid. Built cities and suchlike, after first following the recipe. Remember a huge spaceship of some sort. One summer a friend and I blocked off the concreted floor of a yet-to-be-constructed parking garage, so my mother had to park somewhere else. It had a lego city after all :D

Would be fun to get started again, now when I have my own place and more money, but with the prices these days... could put the scare in the bravest of men. Not a big fan of the direction they have taken either.

Don't know if this thing is exceedingly rare or something, but 9999 NOK is roughly 1300 USD
