Let's Make a CFC-OT US Presidential Election Map 2012!

That's game Romney.

Okay, that's my entire allotment of bragging.

Congratulations to my fellow Obama supporters.

Condolences and best wishes to my conservative friends, and good luck next time.

What the hammer happened in Florida?

I would have bet $100 two days ago against you if you had told me Florida would be this close.

The electorate is evolving. Southern/Salier strategy is dead. The country will never be far-right.

Romney was far right?

Paul Ryan sure (not really but I'll give it to you), but Romney?

Romney was moderate and he just got blasted. I don't buy the conservative faith-based argument that a True Conservative would've done better. It would've been a massacre instead of a defeat.

People don't want some supreme conservative ideology to explain life to them. They want to be safe to pursue their dreams and left alone.

Eh, I'm not one for victory celebrations. My interest in this election was mainly one of seeing how accurate the predictions would be. I do favor Obama, but what I really like is seeing how closely the pre-election polls are matching the actual elections.

Karl Rover is doubling down on his obstinate partisanship.

Blasted? If Florida and Virginia go red it'll be fairly close. REALLY close if Colorado or Nevada (Heaven forbid both) also go red. Barring something truly insane, you did win, but you haven't "Blasted" anything yet:p

Plus, he's winning the popular vote. Winners of the popular vote who lose the electoral vote are not accurately described as being "Blasted."

I don't either. I'm just saying that this election doesn't prove that America "Doesn't want the far right." If anything, the fact that Romney was a candidate in the first place proved that. But since Romney isn't far right, his defeat has little to do with any American position on the far right.

I wish that were true, but its not. Way too many Americans want heavy government involvement in the economic sphere. Not "Being left alone."

So is the conclusion here that Nate Silver was almost exactly correct?

Pretty much. I think Nate Silver has predicted the electoral college exactly, assuming Florida goes blue. The model flipped Florida pretty much on election day; It's as dead even as a toss up state gets.

Zero. As was mentioned earlier, he will likely be blamed for disparaging Republican voters and handing the election to Obama on a silver platter (just like he planned all along of course, partisan hack that he is).

Colorado went to Obama

Colorado and Nevada have been called. Obama is currently ahead in both Florida and Virginia.

yes

At best, your comment ignores the unconstitutionality of popular votes winning elections.

At worst, you're just willfully ignoring the fact that the popular vote isn't half way in yet.

Stop

Also, Obama will have won the popular vote by the time they finish counting the west coast.
