Mueller's Report

Also, NYT is saying that Barr and WH have had numerous conversations about the report's contents.

What we should do is have a betting pool on percent redacted. The news will report that calculation relatively soon after the release, set some cub reporter just counting black bars.

I claim 31%

Barr's press conference is to spin the report before anyone else (except Trump) has seen it.

EDIT: Mueller will not be at the press conference. None of his team will be there. Barr will offer his version of things and take questions. Of course, no one will have seen the report by then, and once people have seen it, Barr will be back in his office.

And a DC judge has weighed in on the report saying that he wants to review the report and make sure that any redactions comply with the rules of FOIA.

"Lightly redacted" as in white-out instead of black blocks.

That's pretty much exactly how it went down. Barr more or less stated NO COLLUSION - NO OBSTRUCTION, took a couple of questions that allowed him to reiterate that and then left.

Fodder for the liberal media which will just be Ammo for Trump to attack.

I'm interested in it mostly for historical reasons.

Unfortunately that's probably it's only utility.

That seems to be the reason for most of the length. While this could not have legitimately been done in a four-page document, 40 pages was probably sufficient. The rest is to facilitate disparagement on the President, which is in line with the media-first approach the team has always exhibited.

Redacted report is out, I've downloaded it. Can be downloaded from this url

Glancing over it it appears most of the redactions are labeled "HOM" - Harm to Ongoing Matter. This doesn't exactly make it seem like Trump is free and clear.
More likely the criminal referrals that Nunes submitted last week or the investigation that Barr has ordered.

One question that was raised is when Mueller knew there was no collusion. At first glance, it appears the answer is Day 1.

It took all of two hours to figure out Barr was lying at the press conference and has been all along. He took pains to stress that Mueller was not recommending Congress look into the issue of obstruction when, *pikachu face* he absolutely was recommending that.

Also Barr released the document as an unsearchable PDF apparently. Cheeky fellow, that one.

Doesn't matter though, they've spiked the football and are dancing in the end zone. Trump is now officially above the law and there's not a damn thing anyone can do about it.

I assume you meant "NOW" and not "not"

I did, thanks. Corrected

Mueller stated in the report there was an obstruction case to be made by Congress (paraphrasing). Barr's version of that: NOPE

Don't know if anyone caught the press conference but Barr walked away when asked if he was spinning the report. Telling

But did anyone actually believe he was? This is not unexpected by anyone.
