I got inspired by this little thing, and I was wondering: what are your napping habits?

I like 'em after a long day of hard work. You can recoup some lost sleep, which is great because it allows you to stay up longer at night. The time between work and dinner isn't really productive time anyway, so nothing is lost. I'd like to do naps during work. In some jobs I've had it's possible, but otherwise I just have to accept a bit of sleepiness around 2 o'clock.

Well, I'm at University now, so I just skip my morning classes if there's a sleep problem. No naps necessary!

Oh god, I love naps! Naps are the high point of my day. The first thing I do after showering when I get home from running in the morning is go take a nap.

I used to love post-church Sunday naps. But I reached a point where taking them made me extremely groggy when I woke up and then unable to get to sleep at a reasonable hour at night, as a result of which I was more tired on Monday, rather defeating the purpose of taking a nap.

Since I have to get up so early nowadays, I tend to nap from about 3 till 4 in the afternoon.

I just take them to pass the time. this means that if there is nothing to do, I might just decide to sleep for a bit. The time I normally do that is around 12-3PM

I like naps. :) I'm bad at 'em though 'cause I'm bad at going to sleep any time, day or night. Mostly I'll only have a nap if I feel really crappy, like a bad headache, or a bad lady-condition.

Naps is the best sleep really. The problem is that if you take a nap at X o'clock, you will suddenly become very tired that time the day after. It easily becomes a habit.

I used to love napping after class.

Now that I am working for the man, it doesn't happen as often.. I find that naps disrupt my sleeping schedule a bit too much.. If I come home at 6, nap until 7.. I'll just stay up late and be tired the next day... so I might as well not nap and go to sleep early.

Sundays are the best for me for naps nowadays.. They usually last an hour to an hour and a half..

And somehow, I usually dream during naps..

A nap to me is 3-4 hours. If it's less than that, I just wake up, and stay, really tired. And then don't sleep well at all. If I sleep for a full 3-4 hours, I can goto bed on time and sleep fine, if not waking refreshed. It's slightly odd.

During the academic year, I got into the habit of taking naps on desks in one of the on-campus libraries for 1/2-1 hour. It got to the point that whenever I went to study in that particular library at any given time, I would fall asleep once I got settled down. When I moved to the other library last quarter, I ended up napping every day at 2 pm.

I rarely sleep longer than 3 or 4 hours at a time, so napping is essential. In fact, I just got up from one. :)
