1. Have you asked Koshling or strategyonly for permission to edit the SVN yet?

@Faustmouse - please get permission from SO first (he runs the mod) then let me know what your sourceforge username is and I'll set you up with write permissions on the SVN.
 
SO PMed me and asked what I'm doing sine Hydro set up some files for me. Than he said he would like to have a testphase to see that I don't mess around, then he will give me permission to edit the SVN.

I haven't figured out yet how to use a different Alpha Channel. I will try tomorrow. So my buttons are wrong (beside the fact that the Nutella is hardly seen on the icon)?

ah ok I found the FPK. I can't open it, whats the correct programm (beside the mod itself) to do so (and to edit it?)

Well I assumed that new buttons are placed in the art folder and then periodically get merged into the core FPK. Since as you ay it takes forever to update.

So I'll save them in the art folder as DDS files? And I still don't know which size or frame the ressource buttons should have.

And yes, I'll ask SO about it, thx.
 
IIRC, you can use PakBuild to unpack and compress FPK.

Yeah PakBuild is uses to both open and "pack up" the files. However we are either at or near the limit of the amount of FPKs you can have. So that's why everyone except Me, DH and TB have to use the core FPKs for their art. Note that art works fine outside of an FPK, but it slows down mod loading (I think). Which is why loose images are periodically merged into the core.

And the only reason DH and I have our own is because we started with them when first making C2C. Its only later that other joined the team and we found out there was an FPK limit.

As for why TB has one, I have no idea how he got so lucky to get his own. ;)
 
Ok thx, I'll look for that programm.

However, I still don't know what size, frame etc the icons for my resources should have. The code for all of those you gave me is done, they only need icons now.

And for my question with the Alpha Channel, I think I figured it out and fix it right now.

4. Technically all the art are in a compressed FPK file. However we already have near the max amount of FPKs made. So any new art by other people (such as you) is eventually merged into the core FPK. For more info on that i recommend asking strategyonly about that since he is the one who deal with that stuff.

I did. And he said he is busy and has problems with win8, so I should ask Hydro :crazyeye:

1. The resource buttons use the same buttons as the others do. Since they are not map resources the rest of the tiny graphics are less important so I just use <FontButtonIndex>104</FontButtonIndex> which uses the default scroll icon.

2. Ok how about this. You post the resource icon/buttons and I will include them in my own FPK. Most of them are already there. Which means it will go here ...

Ok I THINK those two buildings should be correct now.

- I remade the icons and scaled Nutella and Hovercraft up.

- I saved as DDS DXT3 not DXT1 like in the first time

- I used the correct Alpha Button

- I only have buildings in my folder now


Anything else I missed?

Hmm... I thought your Factories looked the same, with a standard Factory Icon and the product on it.
So next time I'll do only the product if you want to.

Yeah it would be better if the factories just were images of the product they made and did not use the factory button in the background.

Should the Factory and it's product use the excact same button or different ones?

In future vr games equipment wil be expensive so I bet that type of places will exists like arcade games saloon was.

Could you post your next buildings already? I have a weird timetable when I have access to the internet, so when I upload the set with the Energydrink Factory I already know what to do next?
