pre-release info New Civ Game Guide: Mughal India

pre-release info
they had Jezzails that were extremly long range.
The Jezzail was less of an individual gunpowder musket and more like a modern .50 caliber sniper weapon: very long range, slow firing, frequently a crew-served weapon with 2 men working it. The longer range makes perfect sense.

yes i knew they had them in mind with the sepoy ability. Very flavorful.

Me? Agra is right there.
Well yes, I don't disagree with that if it were a proper Mughal designed civ, and not one disguised as predominantly Modern India.

You can rest now… Better brush up on your Punic for next month! :D

Is it just me, or is the definition for the Zamindar completely opaque ?

Zamindar: Unique Support Unit. Increased Population on new Settlements.

So what is it ? A Settler ?

From this screenshot we've seen it's supposed to be a settler.

Basically Food and gold
gold~Production
So essentially
low Science/Culture/Influence/Happiness
But strong for all of the others.

I low-key feel like modern age games may be more fun on advanced start games with some of the bonuses of civs like Mughal, Buganda, and Russia. Like large map sizes with less civs with more room to expand

If only there were a forum user who had an intimate knowledge of that language and liked the Phoenicians enough to translate all the stuff for SeelingCat...

Tooooooo bad. :p

edit: got ninja'd by SeelingCat themselves!

!𐤀𐤐𐤏𐤋

(Hopefully @Zaarin will be merciful in his judgment)
For it to be non-past tense, you have to have something (default pronoun but optionally adverb or particle) before the prefixing verb:

𐤀𐤍𐤊 𐤀𐤐𐤏𐤋

However, a plain suffixing verb would also work:

𐤐𐤏𐤋𐤕

A unique settler in a modern age? What strategy comes to mind?
I'd like to add that it also looks like Advanced Starts will have you with a lot fewer Settlements than you might have in a traditional game, so it'll probably be more useful (even if it turns out to be already useful) in that context.

The Exploration IPs will disappear and new Factory resources will be populated, so there may be lucrative spots that didn't look as good as before that will be newly open.

Is it really a unique settler though? Based on the description it feels like a Migrant unit. Can anyone confirm?
Per the video yesterday where Pravus played the Mughals, it's a settler.
