Admiring Myself
Hasn't IALS been inactive for two years?
Hasn't IALS been inactive for two years?
If a social group is private, as IALS is, the 'Last Post' date shown in the index will be the group's creation date, and not the actual last post date.
IALS was created two years ago. (Well, one and a half) It is presumably still active as it keeps getting bumped to the top of the index.
If you don't intend to take criticism seriously, simply say so, or let someone else handle it. I feel like I'm being ridiculed for voicing my opinion in a thread created for members to voice their opinionThat's why I said if you don't like the choice made by the OP, you can start the same subject thread in the other forum... Or is that too much trouble for you?![]()
That runs on the assumption that more spam means more fun for all just because it means fun for the spammers. Sounds like you're just looking for excuses to quit moderation outright. And if more people choose to post more in the chattier, spammier, looser FT, is there a real loss?
Mods can do less work, posters can have more fun posting. Looks like a win-win situation to me.
So why can't you make it so that everyone can join? Do you need to PM?
Indeed. The last time I saw so many different moderators AND admins in the same thread was... last year, on April 1.That's just it. It's April 1st, and you're here. It's a joke. I'm 99.99999% sure of it.

That's because you have a very bad poker face.I'd say this is not an April Fool's joke, just fortuitous timing. But we've been saying that and no one seems to believe it.![]()
Isn't that what I said YEARS AGO? "If it works, great! If it doesn't work, it's a learning experience."If it doesn't work out, we can always shaft it and bring back the old OT. Not the end of the world...
We complain when we see moderators trolling posters, with nothing done about it. Jeez.
Are you saying that people who have been dinged for trolling and have been on the receiving end of moderators' lectures on trolling and have observed other members getting infracted for trolling can't recognize trolling when they see it?Just because you think it is trolling doesn't mean it is...
That's a rude thing to say.If it's that bad, why are you still here? There're certainly places out there for you that are run to your perfect, exacting standards I am sure.
Uh-huh...Complain to the admins then; not my problem.![]()
There's very little mods can do about mods.
No, thank you. I wouldn't know what to do with one. There's barely enough room here for me, my cats, and my books. That ain't right.

Spam tastes great. I feed off it!Knight-Dragon actually likes spam. He's just particular about where it's posted and by whom.
More moderation means more moderated than the spammier version. I don't even want to say the old OT standards will apply, I'm trying to change that. Deletion and/or short bans instead of playing the infraction game.

They've already done two actions, third's a charm! You guys do have a bit of a reputation...
Or move them to their proper places. That's ok, they'll all be back in the original forum tomorrow I'm sure.
Otherwise you'd have moved the other 50 000 threads and 3 million posts somewhere as well. Go on, prove this is legit, delete them!
