You really need to look into religions then more if you think that was Taoism/Daoism.
And 100? Pssh. Stop caring and then you're be all good.
Eastern religions borrow a lot from each other.
There are much more differences than there are similarities.
Perhaps. Though followers of Eastern religions often see no contradiction in following several different traditions. Traditional Chinese "folk religion" for instance is really a trio of Confucianism, Taoism and (Mahayana) Buddhism (and the many different branches of those) plus traditional Chinese dieties and ancestral worship. The Japanese conduct both Buddhist and Shinto rites. Self-proclaimed Southeast Asian Buddhists may also conduct animist rites or pray at Hindu shrines. Mongolian Buddhism is really a mix of Lamanist and Shamanist traditions, and so on.
Would we allow any of them to build a temple near Ground Zero?
I would support it, but I would be far less approving of it (but still approving of it!).I realize the purpose of your question, but you failed to answer mine. Would you still support the mosque if it was pressed right against the WTC? I'm asking this purely out of curiosity, of course.
Why not?
I would support it, but I would be far less approving of it (but still approving of it!).
Where did you get an image of it?Im sort of disappointed that the design of the mosque/community center thing just looks like an office building. I think minarets look cool.
Okay, that means the mosque is fine too, done and done.
I actualy would be opposed to building anything on the grounds of the WTC itself, oddly enough. Let it remind us of the dangers of intolerance, hatred, and the devestation that comes out of exclusionist thinking. Turn everything around it into community centers for peace and understanding, but we have to remember the dangers of fundamentalism. If the dudes came out with a plan to build a mosque right on the WTC site (ground zero), and the community leaders accepted the plan the same way they accepted this, I would approve... assuming that there wasn't stuff that the community leaders overlooked, like an osama statue, or an upside down american flag, or something.
The builders have already mentioned there will be no Minarets or muzzien.Where did you get an image of it?
