Postmortem on Mueller

What if we read it together? I was too busy to read it when it came out, but I just downloaded it, and am thinking of getting started.

It would be like a CFC book club. We could read twenty pages, discuss, read twenty more pages, discuss.

Who'd be in?
read it already
now I'll just wait for the movie

Tedious wasn't it. It could have been cover in 1/10th the verbiage, mostly about the Russians they indicted. Instead, they literally tried to make a joke into a case of obstruction. There is a whiff of desperation in the air.

You could still join in the discussions, if we get the book-club idea going

But not you.

Thank you. You are very kind.
Have you been in a book group? Have you ever had a person in your book group who knows everything about the book and just wants to tell everybody what to think about it?

Yeah, that kind of person is no fun in a book group.

I understand. Most people go to class for that experience. They even pay money.

So, I repeat, you are very kind.

I don't know what you're talking about. The best literature classes, the ones that you should bother paying money for, are not ones where the professor tells you what to think about a book. In the best literature classes the professor creates some room for people who are grappling with the text for the first time to find their way in it.

But in any case, it sounds as though it's mutually agreeable that you don't join the book club. If it should take off.

@Birdjaguar
that's the old narrative
The sequel "Swamp II'' :mischief:
Has the 'scary guy' going after the real crim's that set him up
almost feel sorry for them... almost
especially with Trump's on the record attitude towards disloyal people...

He is a big sissy who hides behind lawyers and spokespeople; he cheats at golf for god's sake.

"Na-nana-naa-nah!... your mother wears gumboots" is not up to your usual standard of posting :mischief:
just saying
But he is a big sissy. He won't fire people face to face, except on TV; he refuses to to hold any lengthy press conference; his spokes people have been caught lying so many times for him that they don't even give press conferences. His response to everything is "I'll sue!" He hid behind Cohen for years. He has made it clear that he can't can't hold a conversation or undergo questions without lying or sounding dumb. All he can do is throw red meat to his base from a stage. He is unable to stand up and make a case for anything he wants to do unless he is safe from being questioned. He is a whinny little sissy who takes his petty revenge through twitter.

your new level of quality posting is duly noted... :mischief:
Well at least you recognize that I'm telling the truth. :) Trump is not a man worthy of respect. You are more worthy of respect to me than Trump. Unlike the people who post here, there is nothing redeeming about Trump. My posts were in response to your fear of him if he came after you. I am not in fear of him and his lawyers should he and I tangle (unlikely as it is). But if you look at his track record he threatens to sue people to scare them. It's never on the merits, but always "I can afford more lawyers than you". My posts about him reflect my lack of respect for him.
