Random Rants #88: [incoherent screaming]

That feel when you'd rather waste time online doing nothing, than continue the work you are paid to do.

At least you're not using housework as an excuse to procrastinate on writing...

@Synsensa just told me that he is going to the emergency room and asked me to inform CFC of the situation. :(

He's been having gastrointestinal issues lately so I assume they got worse than they already have been :(

Now I'm worried. Does Syn have any kind of a RL support-network where he lives?

Because while being ill sucks, being ill and alone sucks a lot worse.

:(

With how the virus is getting worse in BC, the hospital is the last place I'd want to be. But in his situation it's the only sane choice right now. His roommate is useless and I don't recall mention of any local support system.

What? Damn, I hope it goes well and is all fine in the end.

Pretty terrible. For most of August I was managing to keep down a banana and some cucumber every day, but two weeks ago that stopped and I haven't really been able to eat at all since. Been through a whole bunch of tests, but all they're really doing is ruling out things yet not narrowing anything down. It doesn't help that some of the tests have a fairly high false negative rate, so you could have what was just tested for and it'll say you don't. At the very least, I can say: no leukemia, no colon cancer, no pancreatic failure, no gallbladder blockage, no liver failure, and no kidney failure. ETA: Oh, and no Crohn's.

This weekend I'm starting antibiotics that will indiscriminately destroy everything inside of me. The side effects are the exact same as my baseline symptoms and user reviews describe it as hell, so I'm pretty excited. I'm hoping that'll do it.

He posted this a few days ago. I hope he didn't have a bad reaction to the antibiotics. :(

Yeah I hope he's ok.

I've moved to carpet bombing the ants from more makeshift approaches. I found and eliminated a nest that was living between the floors of my building and were accessing my house through tiny gaps in the kitchen island. It was really gross to see them swarm the bait but that did confine them to one spot in the house and now 2 days later, they're all pretty much gone.

Can you ask your neighbours if there are also ants in their apartments? Perhaps there's something in your states' tenancy rules about getting the landlord to bring in an exterminator.

Stand stronk Syn-chan!
