I want to catch up with some literature, and the CNRS library website is down :gripe:.

I also decided to work mostly this work from home, to avoid people, because I'm flying on Tuesday and don't want to catch anything.
Turns out I must have caught something when I went running Wednesday evening with Bft 5 wind. Or my allergies are acting up. Either ways, not brilliant :gripe:.

EDIT: How can that be that the uni library doesn't have access to Nature :gripe:?

My California recall ballot arrived today. Now all i have to do is fill it out and drop it in the nearest time machine. :D
There's this old guy who drives a DeLorean going around…

TIL that Diet Coke does in fact have a hard expiration date. And that if you ignore the fact long enough, Bad Things will happen.

I'm sure there are already enough bad things that happen when you drink Diet Coke that one more won't make much difference. ;)

Related: do Mentos have the same effect on it as they do on Diet Pepsi?

Send the cat! (tall isn't the same as long, right? They can really crouch when they put their minds to it)

Maddy's small, but not that small! The only really small cats I have are my pet rocks. And they like to hang around the steps of my Porch of the Maidens bookends in the china cabinet. Traveling isn't their thing.

I can’t tell if some guy at the store was a moron who couldn’t understand why two people can’t stand in the same place at once or some kind of creep who was trying to get me to leave? Either way:

Have you asked them?
:dunno: But they acted almost as bad as that on their own, as apparently they started to corrode the aluminum cans.
Uhm, better dilute that before throwing it away. Lest it corrode your house's piping.
I'm not sure. Pepsi sort-of go out of their way to be not-Coke-but-better-than-Coke (and failing, of course, but still).

Coke is Coke and Pepsi is Pepsi. Pepsi has a bolder taste but Coke is has a Coke taste.

Since I never once found them missing from where I placed them, I assumed they are content to remain exactly where I put them. After all, they had a long trip to get here (having been purchased on eBay for the most part, except for the jade cat I bought at a rock & gem table at the mall during their annual Christmas vending), and I took great care to have them where they would be content and safe.

The only cat in this household who gets to make her own decisions is Maddy... and that's within the general rules. Like no running out into the hallway, no stealing my food, no mucking with the computer, and no jumping onto my lap when I'm sticking needles into myself.

Pepsi's taste is slightly more bitter, more lemony. I prefer Coke.

Coke's taste comes from the Coca plant hence the name "Coca-Cola"
They took out all the addictive and intoxicating parts of it long ago

They say in Montreal you can know if you’re in the Anglophone or Francophone parts of the city by looking at the soda bottles on the ground.

Coke = Anglo-Montreal
Pepsi = Franco-Montreal

How ‘bout that?

Every time I have decided to dive into trying to figure out the difference, they both taste like "cola." They both taste like carbonation and sugar. But the base flavor I've always picked up in Coke is vanilla-y. Pepsi's base flavor is citrus. If it's hot outside, I'd rather have a Pepsi. If I am both not hot, and the drink itself is ice cold, then Coke beats Pepsi out.

I still drink way less soda than I used to. Makes it taste better when I do, I suppose.

Once stuff's in the drain, it tends to not remain there long, and instead flow downhill.

I've just been reminded that somewhere I have a pet rock-cat i.e. a small cat statue made out of coal, IIRC anthracite. Like many other ornaments, it does tend to go missing at times. I'm not sure about its will, though.
