Even though it's not until the end of August, I'm starting to have anxiety about going back to work.
Just to clarify, Banda is not transgender.Yahoo Sports said:Banda, a 22-year-old forward, scored two hat tricks at last summer's Olympics and has excelled for her Chinese club, Shanghai Shengli. But she was mysteriously "unavailable" for Zambia's women's AFCON opener on Sunday due to what Zambia's soccer federation (FAZ) called "medical reasons."
Reports soon emerged that pre-tournament tests had revealed natural testosterone levels that exceeded limits set by governing bodies. Andrew Kamanga, the FAZ president, said in a statement Wednesday that the rules are those of the African soccer confederation, CAF, and in line with regulations developed by FIFA, the sport's global governing body.
Gender verification. This just gets more disgusting.Yahoo Sports said:CAF has distanced itself from Banda's ineligibility, and did not respond to Yahoo Sports' request for comment. But Kamanga told BBC Sport Africa: "All the players had to undergo gender verification, a CAF requirement, and unfortunately she did not meet the criteria set by CAF."
You know what "secondary sex characteristics" are? For women, it's less body hair, rounded hips, and breasts, among other things. "Actively investigate any perceived deviation in secondary sex characteristics." In other words, investigate women who don't look feminine enough. Actually, no, that's not 'in other words' is it? Those are the words.Yahoo Sports said:An official CAF document requires team physicians to attest that players have "been examined ... to verify their gender," and that the players "do not show any perceived deviation in secondary sex characteristics and are therefore presumed to be of female gender."
In 2011, FIFA outlined similar "gender verification" regulations that required soccer federations to "actively investigat[e] any perceived deviation in secondary sex characteristics" — which are physical traits typically associated with one sex but not directly involved in reproduction. Entire women's national teams have been required to confirm, via team doctors and personal medical documents, that they are women. If necessary, the regulations state, a medical officer can call for "a physical examination performed by an independent expert."
No, not windows 11!
I take it you still defy the Steamworks?getting many games run under Linux is still too much pain

If they're those games and you cannot keep a Windows XP (or earlier) rig working, I suggest DOSBox.
I would have thought virtualbox would do a good job on older games these days, with DirectX support, but I do not know. Some are, and those come from GOG with DosBox already bundled in.
But there are some that are made for older Windows, don't have proper Linux port or can't really run it with mods. Medieval 2 TW comes to mind, many mods simply don't work on Linux port, and the modded game stretches the resources the system can give to 32 bit application to the limit.
Can't you tell it to run as a 64-bit system? Some are, and those come from GOG with DosBox already bundled in.

I need to stop buying peaches when it's so warm. I can never figure out if the fur has been there or developed while lying at my place.
