Just a little update on my car's little lexicographical adventure.

$4700 to repair the damage (covered by the insurance company), and $3500 for repainting it properly (out of pocket for me) Grrrrrrrr.
Jeez, what happened to it? When I got sideswiped a couple years ago, it was only $500 out of pocket for me - and that included some non-insurance heat gun work to fix the front splitter after I hit a nice block of ice denting it. You have a metallic paint or something that makes repainting so pricey?

Dang Lemon really a ton lot amount of money for such trivial and petty insult, it's such a pity there is no cam around or else the culprit well get a beautiful whoop in the ash -lawfully of course- for that.

I've never eaten Domino's pizza, but then I've never been to the US.
We have it in Canada, too...

I've patronized various pizza places over the years. There was a good (if pricey) one near the first apartment I lived in. They had a "two slices and a can of pop" deal, which was good at the time I lived there... money was tight, and the slices were big enough so that would do me for two meals.

I used Pizza 73 when they still had cod bites and bruschetta cheese sticks on the menu. Those were removed, though, so I no longer use this place. I don't like their pizza (too dry), but the potato wedges were really good.

Then Papa Johns abruptly changed their loyalty program, erasing most of the points I needed for a free pizza. So I opted to leave.

Now I'm having issues with Dominos, because while their loyalty program is still in place, for some bizarre reason I can't get into my account. Somehow the local store is keeping track of my purchases and I do have a free pizza coming, but no way to redeem it (it's only redeemable online).

Anyway, I'm considering pizza for tomorrow night's season premiere of Survivor.

Ideally a pizza place should have decent selections of pasta, fries/wedges, cheese sticks, and seafood. Oh, and pizza is okay, as well.

One of the frustrating things about bread and cheese sticks is that most restaurants have a gazillion varieties of them that include bacon. I don't eat bacon.

Oh, and Photobucket is still demanding money. I really should clean house again - delete what I don't really need or can easily replace and move the rest.

You're in Canada right? If so the total cost of the job was $6177.88 in USD. That seems steep. When I had my whole front end smashed in when I was hit by an uninsured driver, the entire repair job only cost $2500 USD (3318.29 CAD).

Rave: my dogs love me, and generally all lay about in a crowd around my chair all day when I am home.

Rant: one of my dogs managed to con some sort of human food scrap out of either me or my gf yesterday, and has been passing serious gas all day long.

I am on the 'Domino's is meh and there's a few better options that have never failed me before I consider them' side of the argument.

Car repairs are significantly cheaper in the US so I am told. It's also an Audi A7 still under warranty, so guess who has to sort out the work for it? (That's right, Audi, and they only have approved shops to repair the damage.) High end cars mean high end repair bills. It's also got something ridiculous like 7 coats of metallic paint.

It's all a racket. I swear.

Unassociated rant:

I have strep throat and I've had to cancel very important appointments for today.

Yes, it is. I had a friend who worked at a Jaguar store who consistently 'joked' that their service department charged the customer a thousand dollars for crossing the curb before they ever even looked at the car.

Sure, they're not great, but they're certainly not bad, and they're a solid option for "I wanna get something delivered cheaply that doesn't suck"

Driving through a town in Wisconsin looking for a pizza place and saw a Pizza Hut with a sign in the window stating. "voted best pizza in town"
Needless to say we waited until the next town to stop. ;)

Cheese fest in Monroe this year! I know you seemed really tempted by it last time I mentioned it.

Honestly I feel like Pizza Hut has gotten worse...

Here in the Philippines too. Eating there used to be a treat. Now, meh.

TIL: Yum owns both Pizza Hut and KFC.
Colonel Sanders was enraged about what they did to the quality after he sold it to them.
