Is Herpes for cats a serious illness?

It is similar to cold sores that we get. So I think is spreads similarly as cold sores do rather than sexually, so if we were going away and put him in a boarding house, then it is very likely it could spread to the other cats. All he got was conjunctivitis in one of his eyes, so it isn't serious but treating it makes it better for him. the treatment used is the same pill we humans use when someone gets herpes, so it was cheaper to get it from a Pharmacy than from a vet.

Oh god, I hated it when I used to live in DC and we had power outages in the summer. That was humidity hell. At least when there was a power outage in the winter I could just throw on a couple of jackets and coats and call it a night. I dunno how people managed it before AC.
