File a complaint and/or sue them.

Some dickhead working for Comcast keeps giving out my cell number to his clients. Because he is a dickhead, and because he works for Comcast, he gets a lot of people calling him to complain about late/poor service. And they all call me. And it's been going on for two years.

On the bright side your new avatar is spiffy and Lin is hands down the best character in Advance Wars Days of Ruin

The second one would be really difficult because $ and because it would be hard to prove some form of serious harm occurred. I'm suspicious of the first one actually being effective, but I suppose it's worth a punt.

aw tyvm

too bad her power is basically pre-DS Sonja aka "useless on non-FoW maps"

tfw someone you respect adds 'von' to a German name when it doesn't belong there

e.g. Erich 'von' Ludendorff, Friedrich 'von' Paulus
tfw someone else you respect refers to the Sykes-Picot Agreement as shorthand for the partition of the Ottoman Empire, presumably to sound smarter

oh true the salt is so real then

Isn't that what it was?
The short answer is no.

It's not like the agreement itself didn't matter. It did. But it was primarily the responsibility of Sergei Sazonov, the Russian foreign minister, and its significance was less that the Entente Powers were carving up the Ottoman Empire - partition plans had been developed by various parties as far back as the Armenian crisis in the 1890s - and more that the British and French effectively let the Russians draw the lines, accepting Petrograd's maximum aims virtually without demur, which was a dramatic change from their policy before the war. The name of the Agreement itself is misleading: Mark Sykes was a poor negotiator and did virtually none of the legwork except for convincing the French to go along with Sazonov's program.

France and Britain did not end up keeping the borders drawn by the Sykes-Picot Agreement, because the Russians effectively took themselves out of the game with the November Revolution, and the complex fighting and negotiating associated with the collapse of the Ottoman Empire led them to adopt new contingencies during the Versailles negotiations and later, during the collapse of the Sèvres treaty system in 1921-23. A cursory look at the Sykes-Picot map shows that it does not really resemble the Mandatory Middle East.

People remember the Sykes-Picot Agreement because it was supposed to be secret, but when the Bolsheviks seized control of the old tsarist and republican foreign communications they dumped a great deal of the secret diplomatic papers into public view. The Sykes-Picot revelation was intended to further discredit the tsarists (who got the real booty out of it) and shame the imperialist West for its cooperation with imperialist Russia; it accomplished the latter goal, but within a few years the tsarists and the Whites had ceased to exist as a relevant political force, so nobody was much interested in pinning things on them.

I don't even know anymore.
The Complicated Process of Adding Diversity to the College Syllabus said:
When Thomas Easley interviews people who want to teach statistics at North Carolina State University (NCSU), he poses a question most applicants probably aren’t expecting: How would you integrate diversity into your curriculum?

To be fair, how did they manage to get those black and white balls is still something no one at school ever explained.

A truly rant worthy subject.

If I'd been given creative control over the game, I probably would've made her power giving greater movement and improving the ability of infantry to capture cities. She'd also feature a greater role in the story, and Brenner and Will would be less painfully stereotypical. Caulder needs to be less over the top mad scientist. In the previous Advance Wars which were basically cartoons, the hokeyness would've been okay, but Days of Ruin tries to take on a more serious tone, and it doesn't really back it up. I mean, I like the game, but man does the story need to improve.

I think that something along the lines of
‘Hello, my name is {dachsrealname}, apparently one of your employees is giving customers *my* personal phone number instead of his own, please investigate this and I hope you don't run into further trouble from this unintelligent person’
should be effective.
I suggest not to draw black and white balls from the urn, but black and white people.
How do you get them into the urn?

And why are you excluding yellows, Indians and Canadians?

That's some serious dadburn, right there.

That probably isn't the only odd thing they're asking. Education goes through all kinds of fads, and in schools they want you to deliver the credo of what's popular at the time.

Here for example computers and cell phones need to be linked to everything, whether or nor it really has any benefits. Teaching across the different subjects is also a popular. That's of course what good teachers have been doing for decades, but now that the bad ones got the idea, they want you to dedicate a specific time for it, plan with other teachers and make it boring bothersome extra activity.

Then there's the phenomenon based learning. Again, something good teachers have been doing for ages, but which doesn't count if you don't deliver them the right liturgy. That's really the most annoying thing about it: they don't care what you actually do, but whether you can cite the right bs to them.

This is of course a rant also. :)

@TF: it looks as if the star tattoo were wearing/peeling off.

Whoever decides what to show on TV has things seriously wrong. They've decided to stop showing the Doctor and instead are showing Sharknado films which are so bad that they're, in fact, bad.

Three whole minutes of unrestrained sunshine? You're speaking about Scotland, man.
