And that's not, well, true. There is no debate around the MMR vaccine, at least not within the medical community, and one specific doctor came out with research ("research") connecting the MMR vaccine with autism. He may have recanted, but his recanting asks the listener to accept the premise that he was a rational man who made a bad decision, rather than a more honest characterisation of him as a credulous goon.
Classic conspiracy logic, really: evidence against the conspiracy is in fact evidence that the conspiracy went deeper than previously suspected.

Once while doing some searches, I came across a blog post by someone who did a "detox" where they talked vividly about their gurgling stomach, so clearly it was working. Uh, dude, that's just indigestion.

Well, it was more that (it turned out) the guy in question was actually being paid by a pharma-firm to push the separate vaccines*, in direct contradiction to the NHS management plumping for the triple-vaccine (fewer GP visits required for administration, more cost/time-efficient).
*Because why should your business-competitor be allowed to get paid once for selling one multi-vaccine, when you can get paid 3 times for selling 3 vaccines instead?
And in the 10 years since that debacle, multiple measles-epidemics have happened in UK kids, as a direct result of them not being immunised at age 4 (or thereabouts). Because their parents were foolish enough to believe the 'controversy' which that (now disbarred) doctor cooked up -- with the gleeful assistance of the Murdoch-tabloids (because it gave them another excuse to take personal swipes at the Blairs).
Not that the 'ordinary' measles is the worrying one, though.
If we can reasonably(?) assume that roughly 50% of the children who didn't get the MMR vaccine were female, there may now be a lot of teenage girls in the UK who are also not immunised against rubella. This is potentially a lot more serious, if they are ever hoping to have children themselves -- because contracting rubella during early pregnancy can cause all sorts of serious problems with foetal development.
I might have misunderstood it, but I read somewhere that congenital rubella syndrome is one of the few known causes of autism. And it can be prevented by vaccination.
EDIT: I googled it and found this. I'm not sure I follow it, but it seems to say that "there's evidence that the two are linked," but the correlation/causation thing probably is in effect here.

last , we were at my 21st USB lost , ı have a feeling that one of them might have burned due to high voltage , now that ı have a note attached to it to that end ; "virus or burned out" .
