I punch a seagull and no one cares?

We'd only care if there was an oppurtunity to make a Falcon Punch joke.

Rant: Why the hell does fmylife.com take so freaking long to load, and slow down my internet a ton in the meantime?

Because it's trying to make you sympathize with it by . your life. :p

I wouldn't get paid anyway (I work for free most of the time, the joy of being officially retired!) but this is now the third day I've had off sick, the second was yesterday, and I was lying with a stab wound in my leg on the first - I don't like being off sick. I'm also now bored.

Stab wound?

The joys of working in law enforcement... I was one day in hospital, before I decided I could probably survive walking (it wasn't a very big knife) and went to work

Yikes. Hope you heal up quickly!

As for me?

There is currently a white envelope at home from Church Headquarters. Inside it is a decision concerning my application to become a full-time missionary for two years. A big part of the information in question is where that mission will be served...it can be almost anywhere in the world (anywhere the government allows missionaries). It would be awesome that that letter and info is finally here, save for one problem:

I'm at work. I can't really concentrate, and I won't be home to open it for another 4.5 hours. Never have I been less happy to be at Kennedy Space Center. So yeah, exciting, but also incredibly frustrating

Dang, man. I am excited for you and I haven't even met you in person. Did your folks call you up to tell you it arrived? Did they ask you if they could open it? Keep us updated!

Yeah I got a call during lunch. I won't be opening it until everyone is home at about 7:00 PM. And I'll make sure to keep you all in the loop :)

What's so great about being a missionary? :p

IT's probably a lot of fun, and quite rewarding. I would say those wwanting to do good with their faith should be chaplains, especially to the navy since life at sea gets lonely and boring, and you spend a long time away from home
