RANDOM RANTS XXXI: I hate my job

Takhisis, you'll also realise that copy-editing one's own text is singularly difficult, especially straight after the fact. :)

"It's hot. Da[rn] hot! Real hat!" It's scorching out there!

I'm out of school halfway through friday. Only 18 periods left before I have the senior picnic, graduation, and all-night party (unfortunately, school hosted so no true party).

Helped out with a school car wash today. Got some wicked sunburn (and not in the New England sense, in the "sinfully depraved" sense.) Got an asston of makeup work to do from when I had strep. Likely won't get much sleep. Yet, as always, I'm on the rutting internet.

You probably took it too seriously. Then again, summarising is a good skill to have. I don't doubt that it's good, but if too long then you won't reach as many people as you could have with a more concise work.

Yeah, that is true. Though we did a mini proofread thing in class today, and I read a paper which was only five pages long, the entire thing felt like a summary rather than an actual paper, so I'm not sure if the teacher didn't realize this was a rather beefy assignment for such a low amount of pages, or if she doesn't really mind fragmented ideas that aren't explained very well :dunno:

Yeah, at some point in your paper-writing career, you'll realize that it isn't actually hard to write a lot of words on some topic, but it's hard to determine the most powerful and useful ones.

The thing is, I read through my paper several times to see if I was repeating anything, or if I was over explaining and such (which I will admit, I am prone to doing) but I was surprised to find none of that. In fact, the 12 page version was the one in which I shortened my thoughts and made them nice and concise, if I wrote without those things in mind, it could have easily been 20 pages long.

But whatever, I turned it in today early so I wouldn't have to deal with it anymore :p

Ajidica, cardgame ventures into that big blue room which is out the front door, above basement level. :p

Very rarely, but aye

I did tan a wee bit actually. Surprisingly, none of these sunburns really sting at all (except in the hot shower :cringe:)

My rant is that I need to weed eat a considerable amount of grass tomorrow.

That's what the after-party is for. ;)
The after party occuring at 5 am when the school party lets out?

Anyhow, I have to do a 'current events' report for Astronomy where I need either 4 or 8 article (because my astronomy teacher doesn't know how to write instructions) and at some of these have to be from a 'hard copy' source, so no websites for those. Blech.

I have a chronic case of DCR (Dirty Clown Regret)

Defined as the regret one feels after pigging out on MacDonalds and then realizing as it rots in your stomach , how awful it really is .

Usually preceded by the equally insidious DCA (Dirty Clown Anticipation)

Then get offline and start doing them. :D

This morning, I awoke to a horrible pain in my left leg. I was on the verge of screaming, but I finally found a position that reduced the pain. I had to crawl on the floor for a little bit until I could finally limp around the room. I'm mostly recovered now, but I still feel a bit sore in the leg. What worries me most is my orthodontist appointment this coming Friday and any recurrences of my experience.

Sounds like your average nocturnal leg cramp. Try drinking more water.

So... sleepy...

Also I bombed my math final.
