So my friend posts a link on Facebook that says that WW3 is imminent because Russia's mobilizing a huge army in Syria for war, Iran and Syria are going to attack Israel, and it's the worst event in human history. I respond with what can be likened, I suppose, to a slightly-less-awesome version of a Dachspwn.

For once, studying history is actually useful. Maybe it's not an amusing but useless subject after all!

Well great, now you've raised expectations! It wasn't that awesome. I mean, I wasn't using Chicago Manual Style to cite a bunch of academic sources like Dachs. So it wasn't really a Dachspwn at all, and I apologize for exaggerating in my little moment of satisfaction. It was still a fun little curbstomp because your average Facebook user who gets into these sorts of arguments isn't as good as your average CFCer.

Going to NJ again to visit my sick comrade, and I have LOTS of good news to update him with.

He is now eating orally -- no more food tubes -- and exercising regularly. What a fighter.

EDIT:

The upside to being sick is being able to binge-watch Enterprise guilt free.

I did that with Game of Thrones Season 1 and all four seasons of NuGalactica when I was recovering from surgery last year.
