A sleeve of crackers, a jar of vegemite, and a knife.

I'm in heaven!

UPDATE: Half of a 220g jar later, it's not feeling quite so much like heaven...

Best lines from Sharknado:

'The velocity of the waves doesn't match the aerodynamics of this car so the sharks are catching up to us.'

(the actor playing an aussie says):
'A sharknado happened once in the ocean near Alice Springs'.

It's soooooo good guys.

OMG they bombed the Sharknado from a helicopter and blew it up! Then this guy lept into the mouth of a giant great white and used a chainsaw to cut his way out of it.

USA#1!

Rave: My paycheck today was a lot larger than I expected.

I may actually come out of the summer with a small amount of cash in my pocket. Huzzah!

Jesus, this reaffirms my determination to burn any screen where it's being played. :p

Sounds extremely daft. It hasn't gone straight to DVD, though? Movies that do are the real jewels in the crown of daft.

It was one of SyFy's Saturday night B movies. They're really great fun to watch most of the time. I loved it when they united Debbie Gibson and Tiffany (the 80s shopping mall singers) in Mega Python vs Gatoroid.

I don't think it's on DVD yet but all of the movies by this production company (Asylum Productions or something) usually go straight-to-dvd if they don't show up on SyFy first. They are highly entertaining in the level of aggravated retardation they portray on the screen.

"Syfy announced that they have ordered a sequel to premiere in 2014, set in New York City, and will run a Twitter contest to allow fans to choose the subtitle for the new film."

SHARKNADO II: ELECTRIC BOOGALOO

I saw Moby Dick 2010 (same company that made Sharknado) last night and it was excellent.

In this imaginative retelling of the story, Moby Dick is 700 feet long with T-Rex teeth and Captain Ahab is captain of a super-duper Nuclear Attack Submarine. They nuked Moby Dick 3 times and he kept on truckin! It was awesome; the best part was when they blew up this island with some nuclear torpedos (I mean they completely obliterated the entire island so that it was just gone) and this woman on the island somehow outran the blast and wound up swimming safely in the ocean. Oh and they kept calling the island an atoll but the island had a giant snow-peaked mountain on it so no, it's not an atoll.

There was a really cool line in the movie that went:

(chick who's not Ahab): "You all cray-cray. You gonna get us killed going after this whale just cuz it ate your leg and stuff. Why you do dat?"
(Ahab): "I would strike the sun if it insulted me!"

Turns out that line is straight from the book but it was delivered with such panache that it made the whole movie.

Then when Ahab delivered the line "From hell's heart I stab at thee!" I knew the screenwriter was off his rocker.

For another excellent movie, try Sharktopus. There is nothing like the sight of a great white shark walking up the beach on tentacle legs to put the fear of God in you.

Spoiler :

I get the tentacle legs but why the spikes coming out of it's gills? Do they help it breathe air when it's walking around, doin it's thing?

Why isn't this a movie?

The Asylum must burn, all records of its existence and projects, erased off Earth, every person who once worked in it, confined in a submarine concrete vault, just a structure of concrete on the ocean floor with all these people inside, and every person who once watched one of their movies must have their memory deleted.

So MLP is totally avant garde but Sharknado is an affront to humanity?

You sir are confused.

Hmmmm, extra blankets.
