Random Raves : Let us eat cake

@Joe: enjoy the weather!

And, about your rants: whenever I got vague research topics, I would throw my profs knuckleball topics like "Temba, with arms open: The role of cultural context in modern pedagogy" The opening phrase was from a ST:TNG episode... The one where Picard is on a planet with an alien whose race speaks in cultural references.

Once, for English lit, my final paper was "Sowing the Space Seed: Star Trek's Debt to the Early Classics of British Literature." The prof gave me full credit, with a parenthetical "from one Trekkie to another."

So, you know... have some fun with it.

Edit: Rave: talked to my ass-kicking Red gf tonight... Only 232 hours 'til I see her again.

Thanks! And yeah, it is pretty fun to do curve-balls on papers, usually it surprises the professor into a good grade, like you said

Just one more week of school. It hasn't sunk in yet, since there are still finals to write and papers to survive. And I'll be taking one or two classes this summer. But still, I might be able to breathe soon. Then I can finally have the time to work on that armor thread and take a nice, very long break like I said I would.

Rave-rant: today has been the first quasi-productive day I've had in awhile. Unfortunately, I still have so much stuff that needs done it hasn't mattered.

Rave: Its gorgeous outside! Like, actually warm, not this phony "oh its 50 degrees and raining" warm.
Rant: Spent all day inside touching up my final research paper for my German history class.
Rave: And I finished it! My professor was kind of vague on the topic, so I hope it works. I'm very tired of reading and interpreting how people in Des Moines changed or didn't change their opinion on Germans and Germany from 1909 to 1920. Kind of a neat topic though. Kind of.
Rant: The worst part of writing a paper is turning it in, tomorrow is going to suck.
'How people in Des Moinsed changed or didn't change their opinion on Germans and Germany from 1909 to 1920'? What the hells is that supposed to mean?

Congratulations. Then you can start learning the Roman tongue.

Romanes eunt domus! What have they ever done for us?

Tengri willing, I will instead learn the tongue of the Mongols in German-land ten moon-cycles hence.

You want to learn Tourkish? Why?

You want to learn Tourkish? Why?

Nay, not that tongue, but the Mongol Khel, the tongue of another horse people further east.

This thread is quite the exquisite train-wreck. I am left breathless by its sheer majesty.

I can't remember what Terxpahseyton's old name was. Can anyone help?

i'm a fourth year now, guys. one year until graduation/real lifetm
If you lived elsewhere, Real Life would be taking place side by side with university.
It wasn't. It was something easier to spell/recall, and i suppose if you just go to his user page some people are bound to use the old name in their messages there ;)
That'd be, like, cheating.
That's it indeed! I kept thinkign ti was 'Till' but that's another user.

So you are most likely one year below me, huh.

In any case due to my illness I get delayed by a year, so I'll be graduating around the same time you will! (Maybe.) That makes us graduation buddies or something.

Well, I've finally found a non-ridiculously expensive copy of Talisman (revised fourth edition)! (Now I'll see whether it arrives in good order.)

You could just have used the Alt+0153 Alt-Code™ instead.

x-post edit: prepare for the best and hope for the worst, Arakhor-san.
