Random Raves XXI: The Server is Working

Rave: I'm playing the Earth 2010 scenario in civ 4, and Russia and China just now nuked each other. They both have SDI, but still.... :mwaha:

Me, I"m just playing as Australia, trying for a cultural victory.

Rant: The upcoming global warming will hinder my efforts. Ah well, a good challenge is welcome sometimes. :)
I won the cultural victory. :)

China was annihilated. Russia never looked back and kept on going.

Only one tile turned desert.

Finally got Steam on my 10 year old PC, this weekend will be entirely dedicated to Half-Life!

Rave #1. Escaped a massive storm that had my area in a tornado warning, as well as a few inches of hail.

Rave #2. I love talking to trolls in a chatroom by responding to their messages with "Is that so?"

Saw The Hunger Games tonight. It was quite good, and very true to the book. 8/10

Had an good night. First a party of two friends at which I saw a couple of friends I hadn't seen in a while, after that we went to a club (worst in the city, but it was doable because of the company) and we finished eating döner (not the best in the city, but we went to a place where we used to go to).

It was a night of memories and friends :)

I've heard it's more the equivalent of Eragon; all action, no story or character development. Very unlike the book.

My girlfriend is vehemently opposed to the idea of watching it (she loved the books :crazyeye: ) so I haven't seen it myself. The Lorax was a good movie though.

Is that so?

How 'bout putting that kind of drive into something useful, like modding civIII?

I retired from modding Civ3 a long time ago.

Well is that so? It looks nothing like the book from what I've seen from the trailer.

My legs were exhausted yesterday and I got a bad case of biker butt but I still enjoyed my bike ride between Bothell and Redmond! I now know I can cycle for 20 miles, but perhaps next time a little shorter route is needed.
