Random Raves XXII: Danger of Happiness Overload

Last non-exam day at school today. Seniors camped out outside the school, set off stink bombs, started a food fight, got us on lockdown, nearly started a riot, then pulled the fire alarm. I got trapped in my AP Euro class for 2 hours. Since we'd already taken our exam, we'd had a party planned. I saw Saving Private Ryan for the first time and had a good time. Sucks for kids with a bad 7th period teacher though.

What... the... hell?

I found this picture in my pictures folder. It was when I visited this dilapidated McDonald's in Loudoun County that closed at midnight, thus depriving me of my M&M McFlurry.

'Northern' has two Rs in it. :)

 Kansas is a lot further west...although we have some areas here that look like Kansas.

And dragons?

the way, how's the crime rate down there, mate? ;)

There's one in Purcellville that's open 24 hours. There are also two in Leesburg open 24 hours.

What does 'AP' mean? I hope you don't fulfil the crazy Amerikaner sterotype and make it out to be 'Armor Piercin'.

So… can I enroll in that high school?
What's ASB?
Since this is the Internet, it's size, age…

No it's there... just morphed into either the 'e' or the 'r'. I just can't tell.
So it's not there.

Never heard of a/s/l? *sigh*

ASB is the acronym for the student government in most American schools.

AP stands for Advanced Placement, and it's a test that American high schoolers take to get college credit.

Sounds like the civilised words 'A-levels', I think.

What... the... hell?

Wow that's... crazy

Oh yes, be jealous. Of course, we only get 28 minutes to eat now with more supervision, but I'll only eat be there one more lunch period so I don't care that much. It was quite an exciting day though.

isn't falsely setting off the fire alarm a pretty big fine?

I've heard before that it's a federal offense. They had to bring fire trucks to the school and everything. Luckily, the sprinkler system was not set off. I'm not sure that they'll ever release who pulled it, being a minor and all. But they will be in serious trouble.

Advanced Placement. It's college level classes/exams offered to high schoolers so they can skip credits in college and save money and time. It's similar to IB (International Baccalaureate) classes if you've ever heard of those.
