First name only. I`m cool if people here know I`m honest Ben, the car buyer`s friend.

So your Gentle Ben. I am surprised you are even posting here. If you don't get the joke then just google Gentle Ben.

My rave is my adorable female cat, but she is a bit strange when she is extremely happy. She is the only cat I have known that drools on you in her state of happiness. Weird cat.

*doh* "Honest Ben"... and I just typed "Friendly Ben" in the PM. Regardless, congrats!

Gentle Ben was a book I read several times as a kid. Bears are cool, except for drop bears!

One of mine does that, actually. I think I remember a second one who does that but can't remember who, for the moment

So it's been a busy week.

*The movers came on Thursday and were able to somehow angle a semi truck around a hair pin turn to get into our subdivision and deliver our stuff. Plus, even in the pouring rain they were able to get our stuff to and fro without damage and also somehow didn't track mud everywhere and cost us less than we thought.

*After staying up till 4am Friday and Saturday night and working all day Sunday, we are officially moved in. All of the canvases* are hung and all of the wall decorations as well. Our furniture is placed where we want it and we got rid of a lot of junk too boot. Not only that but I also managed to put together a kitchen island and a set of shelves to place our towels on (since we have no real closet space) and hung a bike rack (which I've never done before). So now the new apartment is officially our home and it looks awesome!

*Got a new corded drill, which is >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> (x100,000,000) better than a cheap battery powered drill.

*After several days of barely tolerating the new puppy, our other dog had a serious change of heart. All of a sudden I realized that her barks had changed from 'I want to kill you' barks to 'I want to play with you' barks'. At that point we stopped constantly intervening between them and now they are like best buds. The old dog has even gotten over her jealousy issues and doesn't bark so much for attention when we pick up the puppy. Watching them play with each other is amazing fun and it's so heart warming to see her paw at him gently and to see him faux charge at her only to take off running in the opposite direction when she stands up. It's probably the most adorable thing I've ever seen and a huge relief because we were unsure how they were going to get along. She isn't even possessive of her food when he's around, which is a pretty big deal considering she's never really been socialized around other dogs.

*Puppy slept through the entire night last night in his kennel without fussing. It's the first time I've had 8 hours rest in a week. Unfortunately I still have a massive sleep deficit and feel run-down.

*Before we moved in, it was hard to judge how much room our new place had. I mean, I knew the measurements said it was bigger but without our stuff, it's just hard to tell and I kept second-guessing and thinking it wasn't that much bigger than the old place. Well, it is much bigger than the old place, that's for sure. Not only is it bigger but the way we've arranged it really gives the dogs lots of room to chase each other around in and to play. It's truly awesome to not feel so cramped anymore.

It's been a busy week for sure.

As much as I'm rapped that all is well on the canine front, I'm kind of disappointed. I was pumped for the Hobbs episode of The Dog Whisperer.

"Hobbs has been spending so much time on the eenternet that Leencoln now theenks he is master of the house"

So just in time to move to Houston when you get the NASA job? ;)
Huntsville, but yup that's what it looks like is going to happen. I'm still under consideration for my dream job and at this point I'm feeling confident I've got it. They way they hire interns is that basically the phone interview is a formality and they've already decided on you. They will have to call me sometime very soon if they want me to start in a month and given that they haven't already removed me from consideration by now, I'm feeling good about it.

The puppy has us wrapped around his fingers. It's adorable and frustrating that I can't control my own actions when he comes around because the brain says 'PUPPY!!!!' and short circuits.
The next logical step is to have a baby. Get to it.
I'm hoping getting the puppy will push off the baby lust a few years at least. I hope.

It's going to break the bank whenever it happens. Have them kiddos when you are younger and have the energy for them.

Black Mary Magdalene? :)

I now have a girlfriend :D
*First rule of successful acquisition of a girlfriend: Don't kiss and tell. ;)

Kidding. Congrats! :)

Spoiler * :
Unless there's a widely known rule saying the polar opposite, that I don't know about.

Wait, I haven't been following closely Hobbes. I thought it was looking like you were going to have to give the puppy back because your lease doesn't allow puppies. Did something change?

Anyway, bit of a rant/rave today.

I start my new job tonight. The rant is that the shift is going to be 20:00-06:00 :<
