A transgender cat?
Is that what is happening?
I wrote a haiku

I am pretty sure that cats aren't capable of understanding human social constructs though. From a cat's point of view it makes no difference what gender you assign to it or if you decide it's a scientologist. Cats don't understand these sort of concepts, they just want to eat things and knock things over.

How much in advance can you usually select your desired seat on a flight?

I used to always do it at time of booking. I'd go onto my itinerary page, click a link, and it'd show me the plane, and I could pick my seat. I have a flight about 7 months from now, and it says that the seats are not available, and only gives me the option of "Aisle" or "Window" or "Other". I am on these flights with a friend, and we have separate bookings, so we'd like to sit nearby.

I am going to be contacting someone in the know about this, but I figure I might as well ask here first in case anyone knows.

I've only ever flown on one return trip, but I booked all the seats at time of booking, some of which were already gone, as it was only about two months beforehand.

oh yeah? What else did you learn from network tv?
Haha, good one. I learned it from friends currently in rehab.

I have to agree with Tak, Hygro. Back when I was active I was...not particularly discriminating...about what I consumed.

A variant of MDMA. Ecstasy is a really stupid thing to take as it increases your heart rate and blood pressure; if you're already suffering from a heart condition then taking it is (in this case most egregiously) suicidal.
Depends. If by Ecstasy you mean pure mdma, one can't say it's categorically stupid to take, as it's a relatively safe chemical. But like you later pointed out, if your talking about a pill you do not know the content of, then yes it is very stupid indeed to consume it.
People with heart conditions need to be wary of a great deal of things so applying that to general advise isn't all that fitting.

This is just the most Taleb thing ever.

Can you use an entry doorknob for a bedroom door? I'm looking to replace my brass doorknob with no lock with a doorknob that needs a key from the outside (hallway) and can be locked from the inside (bedroom). With how the product pages word their descriptions, I'm worried that I may buy an entry doorknob and then find out it's too heavy/too big for my bedroom door.

Can someone who knows French explain this to me?

Why did you vote for Macron? (there is more but my french is very rusty)

People asked: voters for Macron in the second round.

-It's the opposition to Le Pen

-Due to the new politics he represents

-His (political) program.

-His personality

(I think)

Close enough.

Basically: He's not Le Pen, he represents political renewal (a common catchphrase used in other countries' elections, including here in Canada), his platform, and his personality.

I have no idea if any of the above are true in terms of why people voted for him. I'm just translating.

You speak French? (I mean, I'm not surprised given that you're Canadian, but still.)

I took French throughout most of my school years, from elementary through 2nd year university level (the highest level I could access locally).

I read French a lot better than I speak it.

Yeah, they're pretty much the same except for the lock.

Cutlass is right. Just check that the lock fits in the door.

Those sneaky product pages, wording it like they're worlds apart...

Thanks! Time to begin my amateur career as a locksmith.

Or time to bolster someone else's career as a locksmith if I fail. :mischief:

Sure. Just tell us which house on the row has a faulty lock and we'll be there. Disregard the man squatting behind the hedge with a gun and a lock-pick, everyone.

Faulty lock is why I'm getting one for my bedroom door. Landlord won't replace the one that matters so I have to seek an alternative solution.

If there's no valuables left after our handsome balaclava-wearing men have dealt with the problem, no burglar is going to raid your premises again.
