Of course TV sucks, but the feeling of knowing that at a specific point in the near future you'll get something you can look forward to is great, and TV used to provide that for me. It was like a little Christmas Eve every evening.

If there's something i like, i'll wait for the DVD Box set to come out.

Ever notice how Eastern animation tends to make their characters "cuter" and just generally more visually appealing to look at while Western animation seem to be dedicated to making characters look like the most horridly deformed people to ever exist?

A comparison to illustrate the point:

I find those anime characters utterly creepy. I've never been able to figure out if they're very childish adults, or hyper-sexualized children.

I saw someone theorise, and I'm not entierly sure how plausible this is, but it has made me wonder, that Disney basically completely ditching 2D animation in favour of 3D has like lead to a decline in quality of 2D cartoons (since Disney is such a leader in animation)

Compare old and new:

The bottom picture is revolting. However, it's like that for other comic/cartoon characters as well. Take Archie, for example. The stories from the '60s and '70s are the ones I prefer. Even some of the '80s weren't too bad. But the old artists died or retired, and the new ones just aren't remotely up to the same level of competency.

I suppose there's been another change, to reflect the look and aesthetics of the Riverdale TV series (kind of a cross between Archie and Twin Peaks).

Depends on the anime. And for what it's worth, I also find anime in general to be creepy and weird. With that said though, their artists and animators do seem to be much more skilled than western artists. The art in anime just seems to be more complex, intricate, and detailed.

Art sometimes gets better. One of the daily comic strips I read is Drabble (the main character is a college student who is one of the dumbest people on the planet). I have a digest of Drabble strips from 30+ years ago and recently re-read it. The art in that digest is awful. The newer strips are drawn better, but I swear the IQ of all the main characters dropped by several dozen points.

One of the appeals of the Avengers as a super-hero squad is they basically provide four separate ways of smashing things.

It's been a decades long process, but many songs from Scandinavian metal bands I really used to like are getting harder to enjoy because of their english vocals. While I noticed some grammar mistakes and weird words many years ago, the accents have only started to bother me recently.
Many of those songs are 15 to 20 year old. I just didn't hear it then. At least not on recorded songs. I remember an In Flames concert around 2003 or 2004 (before they became really crap) where i was really caught off guard by the singer's Swedish Lisp, but didn't notice it on my CDs. Now I do.

I think anime usually looks better in motion, as opposed to screenshots or whatever

As in, you take what it suggests and to hell with the consequences?

As in I put very little effort into correcting my spelling via text. The interface is too cumbersome to bother with self-spell checking most of the time. And yeah, the autocorrect causes as many problems as it solves. I do usually try and fix autocorrect errors but only because it tends to make texts unintelligible when it acts up. But spelling errors I could care less about in a text message and it's actually annoying as hell when people (really just one guy) point it out.
