Random Thoughts 2: Arbitrary Speculations

You have to think like a soldier to understand why I take joy in his fate. He was acting out of selfishness (ironic for a communist btw), and selfishness can endanger the soldiers in the unit and disrupt unit cohesion, which reduces readiness. If this...person had actually been allowed to lead soldiers into combat, I have no doubt in my mind he would have gotten some or all of his men killed. I can tell from how he conducted himself during this incident that he has all the worst personality traits for a soldier to have, let alone someone who is expected to lead soldiers. Makes me question why a selfish individual like him would even join the military in the first place. Makes me think his motivations were selfish as well.

I think you have that backwards. It is being the military, and especially combat units that get people killed. It is agreeing to surrender one's individuality to become a pawn of the military and the corrupt politicians who command it that is the mortal sin. The military has rarely if ever been a service that benefited the people more than it endangered it.

Update on Douche Crow: It has taken to attacking other crows as well. Douche Crow is now enemy of all. Douche Crow even attacks at night. Does Douche Crow even sleep? Rumours abound.

Is it weird to keep trophies? I've gotten pretty good at timing its attacks. The last time it tried to claw me I swung around and smacked it out of the air. It dropped a feather. I have kept this feather to remember this accomplishment by. It will be a glorious day when the other crows in the neighbourhood exile the rogue.

Moderator Action: The military aggression topic has been granted its own thread.

Perhaps Douche Crow is Arsehole Parrot Reincarnated....

I was wondering why there were no posts in this thread, and no threads on this forum about the World Cup.
I just remembered there's a sports sub-forum.

Grover Norquist's dream was to make government small enough to drown in a bathtub.

Now that Trump can appoint a Justice to overturn Roe v. Wade, he'll make it small enough to fit into a woman's uterus.

Radical Feminists are the female version of Incels. Main difference is, Radical Feminists have convinced themselves that they do not want a relationship to cope with their inability to find a partner, while Incels have adopted a victim narrative. Both could probably have lived happy lives if only they had done a bit of self-improvement in earlier years. :)

What a boring strawman. Plenty of radical feminists are in commited relationships, both homo- and heterosexual, monogamous and polygamous, married or not married. Maybe don't post until you have something of substance to say.

I also must admit that I take joy in the fact that since he did not live out his commitment to the military, he will have to repay the government for the cost of his education at the academy. And since it's government debt, filing bankruptcy won't allow him to get rid of it. So I hope making his little political statement was worth getting discharged under less than honorable circumstances and getting ruined financially for the rest of his life. Especially since due to the nature of his discharge, he's destined for a life of minimum wage dead-end jobs with up to 25% of his paycheck being garnished to pay back what he owes Uncle Sam.

The sad thing is, this fool strikes me as the kind of person that won't see that the horrible, impoverished life he is destined for is the result of his own actions. Nope, he'll probably walk around the rest of his life believing he did nothing wrong and that the government screwed him over and is "oppressing" him.

There is absolutely nothing surprising about you being joyful due to other people's mistery, it's what's expected. You've shown to be that kind of person. I also think it's hilarious that you automatically think one is destined to a horrible life of poverty (quote) just because one got "dishonorably discharged" as if that'll stop you from getting any job.

Most of those people found their self-hating partners by being radical feminists. Get a grasp on reality.

A lot of Radical Feminists were lesbians. (Or, at least, bisexuals who decided men weren't worth the bother.) I don't know how many gay or bi Incels there are, but I can't imagine it's very many. Your analogy is bad, and you should feel bad.

See, that's the thing, I'm not convinced they were lesbians. Some probably were, but I think most of them were either straight, or bisexual, and realized that they weren't able to compete for the attention of men. Those who were bisexual declared themselves to be lesbians because "I didn't want to have a man, anyway!". And those who were straight simply became reverse-incels. They told each other that they don't want a man, until they believed it.

When you look for radical feminists, you'll find as many scruffy females as you will find scruffly males in the Incel Movement.

Makes total sense. :king:

I verified my hypothesis by posting it on /r/TheDonald to see what reaction I'd get. Sat at +163 before a moderator deleted the thread due to it not being related to Donald Trump, so I think it's a sound theory.

76% upvotes, and some people wrote angry posts, telling me that I shouldn't make fun of Incels.

First yung.carl.jung tells me that, in the Random Thoughts thread, I should only post if I have substan..ci..whatever-that-word-means things to say, and now you're telling me that I can only say things that are relevant to CFC. I think we need a wiki for this thread, to establish exactly what should and should not be posted, because so far I wasn't aware of these rules at all, and they're certainly not established in the OP.

Anyway, another unrelated random thought:
One of the most hilarious things that happen on the internet, is when you make a joke, and people don't realize it's a joke and get offended instead, and then you push it further to make it obvious that it's a joke, but people continue to think that you're making actual points, and you're wondering how deep you have to push towards insanity before people will realize that you intended to make a joke. Happened to a friend of mine recently and I wasn't sure if I'm supposed to laugh or cry for humanity when she told me. :nope:

It's cool that you are in a position to dictate other people's sexuality to them, but it's also entirely besides the point.

Radical feminists were not women who had a hard time getting men to sleep with them. Even ignoring that a lot of radical feminists had no interest in sleeping with men whatsoever, "men will not sleep with us" was never an item on their platform, even a footnote. They did not build a theory around men's refusal to sleep with them, or around the unreasonable of men expecting them to meet certain standards of self-improvement as conditions for sleeping with them.

Radical feminism may well have included women who struggled to establish healthy and trusting relationships with men, and that may have informed their politics. But if that was all that vexed Incels, they wouldn't be called "Incels".

I don't know, if you want to break down radical feminists like that, you have to do the same with Incels. Because if we're that exact, then most Incels are also not men who cannot get laid, but rather men who have standards that above what they can afford with their own appearance. Pretty much any man can get laid by that random low-iq, overweight female who wants to really have a baby and is willing to sleep with just about anyone.

And if we do that, then radical feminists don't sound that dissimilar anymore, as they too are mostly women who couldn't find a partner that they liked, and then they got feminists, and managed to get some low self-esteem men to like their toes, and many used that change to get a boy-toy for themselves.
