I suppose i could always try Yandere Simulator.....:satan:

I always liked Mechwarrior 2. If you're up to actually breaking out graph paper Tales of the Unknown: Volume 1, The Bard's Tale is a fun little puzzle.

Not too long ago, I thought crying oneself to sleep is the most normal thing in the world. When I first moved in with my friend, I realized that it is not, because it irritated him and apparently made him think that I don't want to live with him. Weird to think about that, I mean, you can be perfectly happy in your life yet still cry at the end of the day, and people think you feel bad when you actually don't. Not entirely sure why I stopped crying, but I think it's out of courtesy. Wouldn't want him to think I'm unhappy when I'm not. It's funny how that works, different types of crying. Sometimes you just can't hold it, and then other times you don't even know why you even feel like crying, but then it's also not difficult to just not cry, huh.

yeah, crying is really good and all, but really, vomiting is where it's at. as they say.. you never feel better than after a fresh vomit. it's the thing I look forward to the most after a night of binge drinking.

How else am i supposed to entertain myself? The only games my laptop will run are Unreal Tournament and Fallout 3 slideshow edition.
You could always post onion article links on internet forums.

"The faction leader of 'Die Linke' Sahra Wagenknecht has spoken out against an immigration law for skilled workers. "Germany has to train its own specialists," said Wagenknecht of the "Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung" (FAS). The main reason for the labor shortage is a underfunded education system. She considers it cynical to discourage young people from studying with a numerus clausus and to "then get the qualified specialists from poor countries".

Internationalism does not mean "soliciting the middle class from poor countries to wage wage dumping here," Wagenknecht said. "In a world without boundaries, the multinationals rule." Freedom of movement within the EU has "turned into an instrument of wage-earning since the eastward enlargement".

Daaaaaamn.

what exactly are you trying to say? do you agree with her? did you single her out because she is one of the few leftists who is opposed to a pure "open borders" policy?

She demonstrates the same sort of confusion that a lot of people demonstrate when talking about this stuff. Free movement of people is not necessary for free movement of capital and vice-versa. And importing lots of guest workers who lack the rights of citizens is very different than an 'open borders' policy that actually allows people to participate fully in the destination society.

Not really PDMA, but I find it highly amusing that you can get away with almost every English cussword here as long as it's not common in American English. I remember a time when ass would get you a warning, but arse was perfectly acceptable, and while the F-word is a no-no, even mods will casually throw around sod.
Interestingly, this tolerance seems to apply to British English only. If I were to call somebody (not another poster, just a public figure so it doesn't fall under flaming) a prostitute's descendant in German I would probably have to provide a translation and be infracted. If I used a Serbocroatian phrase that just expresses general displeasure and isn't considerd that offensive in the Balkans, even though the literal translation involves one's mother's genitals, it would get me in trouble.

Colonialism pays. Even here Perfidious Albion gets preferential treatment.

Da wär ich mir nicht so sicher: Dieser Gute Samariter ist ein Alditütenschleppender, GZSZ-schauender Hundesohn. Alle seine Verwandten sehen aus wie Daniel Küblböck und reden wie Xavier Naidoo.

Moderator Action: If you are going to type in a language that most of the mods cannot understand, please provide an English translation. Thank you. --LM

The level of wokeness impressed me.

I'm aware that it's not that new though, Die Linke has been saying for years that we should fix the problems in our education system that are a major contributing factor to the Fachkräftemangel, and they have been criticizing the wage dumping in other sectors, such as nursing. They've just been ignored for the most part, because the big "left" party, the SPD, prefers to snuggle with the right.

None of this really has much to do with open borders, as far as I know, she is for freedom of movement of people, like most people here are. She's just against using immigration as an excuse to not having to fix problems. Like an actual leftist, actually.

Daniel Küblböck
You deserve whatever punishment you get for reminding me that this person exists.

.

I actually agree with that assessment. Die Linke has an incredible amount of baggage attached, but might be the most forward thinking party here in Germany. Funny, seeing as to how half their voterbase (and politicians) are hopeless nostalgics.

Welcher gute Samariter ? Ich hab Sarmater als Teil meines Names hier weil ich vor 12 Jahren dachte es wäre originell und clever, und weil ich mutmaßlich Sarmatische Vorfahren habe.
Hast du was gegen Alditüten, du bürgerliches Bonzenschwein ?

letzte Woche beim Einkaufen hat ein Pennerli eine Flasche Bier auf meinen Fuß fallen lassen und alles ist aufgeplatz und jetzt riechen meine Schuhe nach Öttinger #justNORMAthings

Maybe we should have a Smalltalk thread in German.

Alter, ich hab ne Weile in nem Getränkemarkt gearbeitet. Selbst als Linker hast du irgendwann komplett die Schnauze voll von Flaschensammlern.

Might be a good idea to split this exchange off into one of those German language threads that are permissible, even though nobody is making any use of it.

Rischtisch !

Spoiler :

Translation: Riight !!! (in an almost offensive for people who care about this Blödsinn Rhineland accent.

We need a thread title then. My vote goes to "Linksversiffte Gutmenschen: Der Weltverbesserungsdebattierklub".

Sollte sich mal jemand drum kümmern.

Somebody should take care of that.
