Who wants to be my vice-president?
Mike PenceWho wants to be my vice-president?
I actually did try to read the article, but it was very long and didn't seem to go anywhere, so I stopped around the point his boss tried to beat up one of the other employees. Would have benefited from a clear thesis statement up front.
I thought that the article was far too long to read without context.
Think again. CFC is a community, much like the community of states. You want to espouse a view that most everyone thinks is ugly and still be treated like a rose. This is not surprising, since it is a solid parallel to your "defense" of Israel.
I can get along with a bar full of rednecks long enough to finish my beer and leave. It's their bar. I consider that a valuable skill and a good outlook on life.
Maybe it's difficult for people in your camp to realize this, but the internet doesn't have too many places where conservative viewpoints are accepted.
You made a bad post. People told you it was a bad post. Grow up, jeez.Okay, kill me! I should have made it clear what I was linking to, instead of just making a clickbait one-liner. I'm a failure as a human being.![]()
It's more that I'm perceived as being on the other side of the culture war, i.e. sexist, xenophobic, homophobic, etc, because I don't actively consider myself a leftist. It's a 'with us or against us' thing.
I have no idea at all what your political views are or even where you live really, and my feeling is most people have more nuance to his or her beliefs than just siding with one side (though I've been seeing things changing, with many Republicans not really thinking critically any more but just believing whatever Trump tells them to, which makes me feel very sad), and I can't comment on your views. But in my short time here, I've definitely felt you express a very strong disrespect for feminine viewpoints and a complete lack of empathy for how sexism affects women, and my feelings are not based on my perceptions of your political leanings but rather on things you've said and supported. No, most people on here don't obsess over my views on Israel. Hey, I think I've invented a word: thoughtoid. Modeled on factoid. A little thought that you're from the start not claiming is any big profound thought.
Do you like it? Don't reject it out of hand; factoid probably sounded odd when you first heard it, but it caught on. Give it a minute or two to familiarize yourself with it.
You're being a conservative isn't nearly as off-putting to me as your refusing to admit when you're wrong.

It's OK.
Thoughtoid is a fairly decent wordoid.
