Can't say I like the design. All the local drone types look way too Usian.

Do they at least have cool names?

Do they at least have cool names?
Yes. But that just isn't enough.
One of them is called Talos (after the ancient robotic protector of Crete). Another is named after the macedonian spear.
I think the missile (shown in the pic) is named after Thales (not sure why; he was the first greek mathematician, but maybe it alludes to Thales returning to Miletus/bound for the anatolian coast :p ).

edit: Like also great news in deloyment of NATO troops . Considering the thousands already in have shown great apathy to fighting next to Ukranians . Only in asxured conditions and all ... Picture like unrelated or something .

you are showing a true lack of confidence in America and New Turkey is not joining anything or something . Like stop fretting about WW III and manly enjoy it with people saying it won't happen . Like how can America can ever fail with Franklin shooting from the hip in this reportedly real Japanese textbook of 1861 ?

they are committed ... to basically be part of the media war . You are never going to convince them of anything and the threat of NATO intervention is not meant for you .

your lack of credintials (or whatever the hell the word) has only suited them to make 99% of the CFC membership remain confident that all is well and Russian effectiveness has not increased . Even in case you are supporting Russia , you are helping them , not Russia .

yes , you could also be an American aerospace company team that Lockmart tried to have re-assigned to a Lockmart project but refused . So , the US Congress now claims to have 12 UFOs in "its possession" , you know , to arouse interest so that people will quit working under the tyranny of USN .

you are laughing but the best part is where people can join this veeeery secret forum of just 1500 people , all of them smartest people in the US , if they start with Lockmart . Of course you will see UFOs when you get the clearance . Which might take 10 or 20 or 30 years . Or Lockmart gets to win the next fighter contract and you get all fired . There are like times when ı take pity at Americans .

Oooh. Lockmart. I kinda like that one.

Shop smart. Shop S-Mart.

lockmart was there even before ı starting surfing on the web .

there are two different things in that effort . One involves the risks the US faces if there are too many people around in certain fields . As in this country being a part of the F-35 programme . The other is the determination by some in the US Military to avoid the brilliant experiences of the F-35 programme which sucked the funds like some black hole . It could have been almost "this capable" a decade earlier and so on . The US Navy with its 20th Century experience of operating an aircraft factory is sticking to have its own plane , instead of a naval version of the winning design in footsteps of the F-35 . Will Roper vision of things where the US Goverment owns the thing if it goes into production . Northrop Grumman might accept that ; it has the B-21 already and it would come under relentless attack for becoming too big . Boeing will accept that , in view of the endless disasters it keeps having in this century . The USAF fighter contract will not be theirs in any case because Lockheed Martin is all about monopolies and it desires to keep its way of life . Where agents of Lockmart can barge their way right here and shut up people for reasons . It has happened .

so , uh , uhm , like it turns out Lockmart has a saucer or two and that's how they previously made the F-117 (because everybody says so) . Like wouldn't you sell the farm to lay your hand on the thing which is no doubt the greatest discovery ever ? UFO man , you can visit the stars ! After 15 years of work though .

Heheh! I don't own a farm. We're way past that part of the game in rural 'murica.

But no. Weed is cheaper than that here. And cheaper yet in Missouri.

Edit: In unrelated news, I'm sympathetic, but sort of surprised at how traumatized the East Coast seems by the smoke passing through(maybe it was just the ducks-on-head NPR reporters?). It really must be a hella lot safer and comfortable everywhere all the time for these people than I give it credit for.

I know that wildfire smoke is awful. We've finally got some clear skies here, though it does still smell a bit smoky to me (I've got smoke allergies and am more sensitive to that sort of thing).

It's an annoyance I can't really do anything about, because fires happen every year. We get the smoke from our own fires and from BC's fires, and sometimes from fires in Washington or Montana, if the smoke blows northeast.

One year (2016) there was the smoke from the Fort McMurray fire. Then we got smoke from the BC wildfires. That was also the year they repaved the main parking lot here (my windows and balcony looked out on that side at the time).

So all this was going on in the spring/summer of 2016. Let's just say that I went outside about twice that whole time - once to let the grocery delivery person in the back door (we were not allowed to use the front door while the parking lot was being repaved and the back door doesn't have an intercom) and once for an essential errand. It was hot, but I couldn't open a window and didn't have a fan at the time.

That summer was miserable - beige/salmon sky for weeks, the Sun and Moon were red, the air was unbreathable outside... but of course it was worse for the people living in the areas most affected by the fires. I have to remember that. There was footage on the news of a guy driving away from Fort Mac, watching his home security footage on his phone... and saw the fire reach his house and how the fish in his aquarium were literally boiled alive right before the glass broke.

It does kind of highlight how much the East Coast dismisses the West Coast. This is considered a novel, otherworldly experience, but it is yearly at this point for us and anything about future prevention is just hand-waved away. Maybe now it won't be. :dunno:
