RB7 - Winter Wonderland

RB7 - Winter Wonderland

featuring:

Sirian - Brought Rome to its knees and created the Mystery Caravel Strategy
Jaffa - Simian prankster who lurks around the Hanging Gardens
Dwip - Leporid who coined Obi-Wan Farmobi
Griselda - Liked to be up on weekends

:crazyeye:

[0] 1935 AD - We're just kind of kicking it on our way to spaceships and suchlike. We COULD use a few more infantry as city garrisons, but...

However, Kumbi can do 1 turn infantry, so I think we'll just get in on some of that action.

[1] 1936 AD - Agades Courthouse->Observatory, Cumae University->Factory, Setia Library->Factory.

As an aside, it's utterly amazing how much difference there is running this game on a 3.2 Ghz CPU, 2 GB RAM, 256 MB video card vs half that like I was.

*Dwip runs around, arms straight out to both sides, yelling "I can FLY!"*

Many skirmishers are disbanded, for great just...savings.

[2] 1937 AD - Rocketry comes in, hit up Industrialism.

Kumbi will do it's thing for a couple more turns until switching to Apollo.

IBT - JC comes wanting Open Borders, and I accept. The peace-loving people of Rome, indeed.

Peace through superior firepower, that's us.

[3] 1938 AD - Djenne something->Research, Awdaghost Harbor->University.

There's this big part of me that wonders if we maybe wouldn't be better off with State Property.

IBT - Liz wants Open Borders. We go for it.

[4] 1939 AD - Timbuktu Lab->Research, Kumbi Infantry->Apollo Program.

Pull the trigger on State Property, which nudges us up like 100 gpt and allows us to go to 90% science. For the win, as that saying goes.

IBT - Qin completes his Apollo Program just as his GA runs out.

[5] 1940 AD - Apache Supermarket->Research.

[6] 1941 AD - And Gibbon's Most Cultured Civilizations lists: Us at #1, followed by Liz, Fred, Khan, Qin, Pete, and JC in last.

Antium Library->Theatre.

[7] 1942 AD - Industrialism comes in, start Satellites.

Awlil Lab->Research, Wadan Grocer->Bank.

We lose whatever deal it was we had with Fred.

We have Aluminum at Apache's Windmill Hill. Which is about to become Mine Hill.

Liz has Mass Media + Satellites, FWIW.

IBT - Khan comes wanting a, er, Defensive Pact. You know, it's probably in our best interests to not sign on here, but Khan's been our buddy for a long time, and it just feels right. So I sign.

[8] 1943 AD - Absolutely nothing happened.

IBT - We're losing fur deals all over the place, here. Also, Pete finishes Apollo.

[9] 1944 AD - Awdaghost University->Lab.

[10] 1945 AD - Agades Observatory->Grocer.

Satellites due in 1, Apollo in 7.

OK OK, funny girl. We're going to rename you to GRIselda instead. GRIselda from TImbuktu.

Sirian - Always gets to be up on weekends. (Please note: I'm UP again! :crazyeye: )
Jaffa - The photographer we all wish we could be.
Dwip - Only player who had an exciting Epic Fourteen.
GRIselda - Princess of typos.

See? SEE? You shouldn't mess with things. Now you're even worse off. ;)

OMG I'm up again. :eek:

At least it's not Mine Struggle. ;)

OMG I'm up again. :eek: (Where have I heard that before?)

OK, so... my job is to build ship parts? Drydocks here we come! :cooool:

- Sirian

Yes but I'm going to ahve to go back to the Up-on-Weekends thing. I can't in good conscious call anybody the "Anything" of Typos when I've played for years with Cyrene. There's just no contest! :lol:

Sorry, GRIs. You're back to being Griselda, who likes to be up on weekends. :)

- Sirian

All right. ALL RIGHT. What kind of Monkey Business(TM) is going on here? :lol:

Who ordered the massive construction project to pipe mine drainage out to Wadan Isle?
Did somebody read that mine drainage helps grow large bananas with more potassium in them? :nono:
You know who I'm looking at. You with the newly acquired "hanging gardens" clone on Wadan Isle.

A look across mainland Mali as my round begins.

rb7-sirian-97.jpg

Waiting on Apollo. Next turn... Next turn... Qin is building parts. Next turn...

1951AD: It occurs to me wonder what our Spies are up to.

rb7-sirian-98.jpg

What do you mean four left to build? We're only allowed to build four total! :eek:
How can we not have Spies?!? :smoke:
(I built Scotland Yard and we gave all our Spies desk jobs reading research papers?)
Get me some Spies, people. Hot gamer babes in slinky outfits, with "super cool" kick moves.
Less bananas, more hot chicks. We're all just raging testosterone out here, you know.
(Well, OK, maybe not ALL of us. Just the ones being marketed to.)

1952AD: Build Apollo, swap to Representation/Mercantilism, start ten cities on ship parts, start Internet.

1954AD: Khan asks a favor.

rb7-sirian-95.jpg

Yeah sure. We wanted to test our latest submarine designs anyway.

rb7-sirian-99.jpg

Yep. Seem to be working as intended. (Ours, not theirs.)

1955AD: Although I started the Internet, I'm not sure if it will finish ahead of our research.
It may be that the research in to Robotics actually finishes ahead of the net!
If so, it would be better to stop working on the internet and have Kumbi build the Stasis Chamber.

I have one Spy in England, one heading to China.
Next one up should go EAST in to Mongolia (a ship is ready to ferry).

Other than that, we're coasting to the finish line.

Monkey see, monkey do.

PS: Oh, and Dwip... If you finish your round but the last part is not quite finished building...
Just run overtime. OK? :)

lurker's comment:
That one is whacko, isn't it? I report that same silliness in LK116 island hoppers. ;)

You know what? It looks like I only put three Casings in to production. :smoke: [pimp]

Woops. :lol:

Well, Jaffa will clean up my mess for me. (And it won't be anywhere near the first time!) :cooool:

- Sirian

I see...game people...

Or something.

Might be Thursday as opposed to tonight. Been a long week at work.

RB7 ROOSTER:

Sirian - Probably done playing. (Right? ... RIGHT?) :whipped:
Jaffa - UP NOW!!
Gris - On deck.
Dwip - Going to "play it out" if the game gets back around to him. (Right?)

Er, duh, me.

...yes, there's been a lot of that this week.

* Sirian returns to playing his solo game, on Emperor, random civ, ??????? ????? map script. :D

In a banana-induced stupor, the monkeys have a dream.

"We must build .. a shrubbery!"

"Err no, that's not right."

"We must build .. a spatula?"

"Umm, don't think so."

"We must build .. a spaceship! Yes! A glorious banana-ship to take the simian gospel to the stars!"

Extra SS Casings were ordered, 4 out of 5 now completed.

Our spies watched the Apollo Program being built in York, and discovered China and Mongolia wasting their time in researching Flight.

SS Engine is queued after Stasis Chamber finishes in Walata.

James Watt appeared when we discovered Fusion, and nobly sacrificed himself to save a turn on our Plastic research project.

Still at war with Germany. Our submarine sank a galleon.

And the whales in the lake?

I'd say off hand that's a random terrain map generator, probably useful for really equal starts among civs.

It's fantasy land, ain't it?
