Recruitment

I quess he means mod designing. We already have a bunch of people with ideas (designing). Those ideas just have to be fitted into this mod.

Yeah, the designer is the one who puts together ideas into a design.

IMO we don´t need someone to be a designer. We can (I hope) put these ideas together as a team. It won´t be hard, and it won´t be time cosuming. It´s much easier when many people are designing instead of one.

True, but it also can end up fragmented. There has to be somebody to actually direct the designing, so if one person comes up with an idea, someone can coordinate it into the larger scheme of things.

I agree with this. The team should decide what is in and what isn't, but having a coordinator to make sure that the team is moving forward together instead of in 100 different directions isn't a bad idea.

I think the mod leader is the one to coordinate this.
he is the one who needs to keep us doing our job :P
and if we are going in the wrong direction he needs to stop us and out us back on track ;)

I think that we should elect a temporary leader. If adambot comes back, he can be leader again. But until then, we should have someone to fill in for him.

I agree with a temporary leader.

Hi! :D Who talks about a temporary leader? :king:

I agree about the temporary leader thing.
tough who wants to be it? (i want ^.^)
but not anybody can do it (there goes my chance to be the leader-.-')
you should have some skills in programming or art.
you must be able to motivate people so they actually work and dont only say yes i will do that.
you need to make dificult decisions and not asking for everybodys opinoin every time that would just take to much time!

this is what i think about it :)
please tell me what you guys think :)

I agree with all of those criteria. But, they shouldn't have to be amazing at programming, just understand the beginnings of it, so they could offer feedback. And, if they aren't good at programming, or art, they should know a huge amount about the Star Wars universe. Having one of those three should be a requirement.

Heh, I KNOW that I wouldn't fit the leadership position. I may occasionally have a good idea about what should be done, or think I do, but I have no skill of getting people to do it. No skill at all.

Knowledge of coding and art is a plus, yes. Gives some idea of what can be done and how hard it is. I once heard a coder of a mod say that coders should never be leaders. Don't remember the reason, though. Good knowledge of SW universe is a plus too, but no doubt us nerds will discuss any subject to death if asked.

Sorry, but I strongly disagree on this. Though it might always work, we'll see... (I hope it does work, because I'd love a nice SW mod, but I fear it won't work out as well, hence my hinting to choose a designer).

The mod leader is the one who puts all these ideas together. But he can´t make all these decisions alone. He (or why not she) needs the people who made those ideas so that he can make decisions everybody like (or, atleast, there wouldn´t be much people who totally disagree). It is too much for one person to design this mod.

OK people BTS is out, so I think it´s time when we start seriously making this mod. Who are still willing to continue on this project?
