Ruff04 - Anger Management

Are there any spots free? I want to join this. I am new to SGs but i can handle prince easily on my single player games, though i sometimes lose due to a big mistake
I've added you as an alternate. Please feel free to comment on the game as we go.

Are we going from the roster in the first post? If so I'm up and will play tonight (before watching the Aussies thump those Italians). How many turns (20 I assume)?

Tech wise, pottery followed by animals/hunting/archery?

Do we want a settler straight away after worker to settle the bronze, or get a barracks in Berlin first?

With Fred being philisophical, Berlin is a pretty good GP farm location (would also suit cottage spamming). A city up near the copper would be a good production city.

Yes - first round is 20 turns each. You ideas seem good - maybe get a settler out and use that city to build us some defense. We should add a religion so that people start not liking us.

3200BC, the dawning of a new era, an angrier era than any gone before. The people looked up and shouted at each other and waved their fists in the air. Yes, all was good in the world.

3120BC - Agriculture ---> The Wheel

3040BC - Scout survives a lion/wolf double act.

3000BC - Berlin ---> worker ---> barracks (to get size up to 3 then settler). Worker goes straight for the gold.

2920BC - Hinduism FIADL

2840BC - Warrior pops a hut. Get Mysticism. Nice one!

2800BC - The Wheel ---> Pottery

2600BC - Look everyone its Julius. Isn't he cautious? Pottery ---> Archery

2560BC - Worker finishes corn and goes onto cottage the flood plain.

2480BC - Gandhi appears.

2440BC - Archery ---> Animal Husbandry

2400BC - Here's trouble.

Final thoughts. Settler due in 3. I would wait for an archer escort before moving. I think this is the spot for the second city.

Animal Husbandry in 4, maybe iron or writing after this.

And with this I sign off, make of this save what you will...

It is nice that at least we have copper right off the bat. Maybe we might decide to force some of our courses manually? :spank:

Is there a river or a lake near that spot? if not that city will get hungry and not just angry=P
No, no water close. This might be a city that never needs anger management courses. We might consider settling else where and letting a border pop get us access to the copper.

hmmmm I got it and will play soon so i do nothing to make my people happy ok.

Xtream_Rockstar hasn't logged in since the 28th, do you want me to play?

And do we want the warrior's spot for the city, or somewhere east?

Yes - I suggest finding another spot for the settler and letting the copper come to us. That site isn't that good.

@adiii - are you there because it looks like we will need an alternate.

Picture of the west:

Do we want to put a city between Elizabeth and us? It would be nice blocking her off.

I've got the save - I will have a look and get back to you.

Finally - I reply. I think the city should go 1 tile SW of the scout.
