Well I didn't get it done last night but I should wrap the set up tonight. Mid-turn report:

Germany is down to 4 cities now and we have armies outside of 2 of those cities and we are advancing on a 3rd. I think they will be eliminated by the end of my turn set. Maybe. Hmmmm.

We successful planted spies with the Celts and Ottomans so we can keep an eye on their unit levels. They’ve been slowly declining for my turn set and the AI has done a fair amount of warring against each other. At this point our army is larger than the entire combined forces of the Ottomans, Germans and Celts. The only place I did not put a spy (yet) is Egypt.

The Celtic oil field is disconnected and the last bomber fell from the sky around Turn 335. There are some stray arty and frigates wandering around but our armies can pretty much move freely to pillage and attack. I swapped all builds away from anti-air craft because there will be no more bombers in this game. There are some fighters left, but I’ve never seen an AI use them to bomb – and the anti-air we have is more than sufficient.

Meanwhile our armies are pretty much free to wander unmolested.

Osman tried to build the UN in Basra (or some such) and that city has been razed so there is a large empty area in the middle of Ottoman land. Plenty of room for units to heal. So far he has not attempted to restart the UN anywhere else.

We picked up SF and I started on computers for MI. After that it probably doesn’t matter. We are the only civ with Aluminum so there will be no space ship launch. The only question is if we want to win by domination or conquest. With Modern Armor rolling out of the factories even their large cities protected by TOW will start falling with ease.

My one big ‘disaster’ was when Leipzig flipped with 4 flak and 4 tanks in it. It has since been retaken and we have more than sufficient force in the area. The only interesting event would be if Egypt suddenly declared.

Speaking of which, Egypt just made peace with the Ottomans. I’ll have to do something about that. :D
 
Conquests or Domination, I am easy on both, I guess domination gives a quicker victory
 
I didn't get to finish last night - the wife had other ideas. I will definitely get it posted tonight. I only have two turns left and then some screen shots.

We are at 55% land, 59% population. I would be happy with conquest - I always feel like domination is leaving the job unfinished. But I will go with the group. With how fast the AI is crumbling it won't be a huge difference, time-wise IMO.

Our first MA army is in the field and it will chew up TOW without much hassle. The Celts are still stuck with something like 30 rifles as well. :D No money for upgrades, I guess.
 
At this point, we should go for Conquest. Domination is too easy. Those MAs will make things easy enugh, as is. Two transport loads could easily take the islands, and we can also start burning stubborn enemy cities to avoid Domination.

Germany is gone from the world and with them, I think, any chance of a diplo victory for Osman. I got 3 GL and I turned them all into armies. We have modern armor rolling off the assembly lines. The Celts came up witih one more bomber that has been hitting here and there, so far a sam/flak has not taken it down.

1st & 3rd tank armies (healing) & elite tanks are garrisoned in Byblos. The 10th Modern Armored is healing in Berlin. The 4th tank army just took Hamburg and is resting there to heal.

The 1st Infantry is escorting tanks back from Celtic lands – they helped to pillage the oil that the 1st Upgraded Knights are sitting on. When they get back they can be upgraded for 30gp each.

12th Modern Armored Army was sent after Gergovia. I also sent the 2nd & 5th Tank armies, 2nd Cav Army and 16 arty, 1 flak and 1 sam after Istanbul. After that they can continue to Izmit. The 1st Cav is on the way to start pillaging the city tiles to slow the UN build, just in case.

We are the only Civ with oil or aluminum. The AI is pretty much making TOWs non-stop.

We've got spies with everyone but Egypt. I just signed a 20 turn deal with Egypt to get them back in on the war against Osman. We need to watch the domination limit but we are still under 60% territory.

I forgot to mention that we have a lot of transport capacity that is not being used (or doesn't necessarily need to be used because of airports). We can easily route a few transports and position them to take out those islands.

I note that Bordeaux is building a Modern Armor, but it lacks a Barracks. I switch it to Police Station (I'll add a Court and then a rax next).

I also change a lot of builds in our core to Factories and Police Stations (e.g. Cherbourg). We should be able to double our production by the end of my turnset.

Mobilize for war. Our core will pump out MAs VERY quickly now. I also set a few builds for Marines; an Army of those will help keep our island-assault options open.



We have 8 Bombers and one Jet Fighter in Sinop for bombing Burdigala; I'd start with the Jet, hopefully scaring up the CAP for us to shoot down. Otherwise, I'd start rushing Bombers in minor settlements for replacements there.

I have some Armies fortified in random places on the other continent; their role is to keep enemies from using the rail network to get at our Workers.

The Ottomans have an Ironclad near Aydin; I sortied Destroyer 03 Northern Pike on a mission to sink it.

We should think about canceling our RoP with Egypt and precipitating a war, but I don't see any hurry - mopping up the Ottomans and the Celts should keep us busy for about half the next turnset. We'll want to make sure our forces are rested and positioned appropriately to blitz Egypt once the Celts and Ottomans are gone.

We could buy Fission from Egypt in exchange for Synthetic Fibers; she doesn't have the resources necessary to build Modern Paras or Modern Armor.

I then Bombard Antayla and my first modern armour retreats against TOW, the
second on (the veteran tanl corps takes out a tow and promotes to elite) he then takes
out a second tow going to 2/5

Next up a odern arour dies on a tow, next takes one out, the 17th tank army takes 2 tow
out the first cavlry army takes a redlined tow out, though not before giving me a worry
