Single Player bugs and crashes - After the 16th of May

It might be that the boni the city shows to provide are different to the actual benefits in the end because of non-city-specific general civic boni which are adding up after the results of the cities have been summed up.


I dont think so, its exactly the double, i guess is the multithreading stuff.
 
urgent! i found a problem, when i put a city to generate gold or knowledge, the city are doubling the bonus. The showed value is right, but when pass the turn i got double gold or double knowledge.

I cannot reproduce this. Can you provide me a save game and a specific city to look at that illustrates it please.

Sure, but before i will ask to you to put your city making wealth, see how much you will gain in green numbers and pass the turn, in next turn you will see a bigger sum of gold than expected in your stockpile.

I've reproduced it now - needed a slightly more complex context than my original attempt. I'm working on it now...
 
I tried this on the current build and it reproduces. I now understand it (it's a bug in the goto city code itself) - a fix will be on the SVN later today.

More info on the go to city bug. V30 no SVN. It actually worked at first. I conquered a city from another civ, giving me 2 cities and the go to city button worked. I then lost that 2nd city, back to original. I build a tribe, founded a new city, giving me 2 cities again, and the go to city button now caused a CTD. Conquered a 3rd city, and the go to city button suddenly works again. Still no SVN in the mean time, just vanilla V30.

I am getting Wonders to be built, in each city NOW???
I noticed this on the Triumph Column but i thought there was more than one to be built, but i know that the Heroic Epic there is only 1, but again i can build them in EACH city, see attached pic 1 / 2. Once built i can go to the next city and build again:thumbsdown:

savedgame attached, SVN: 5538

Also the Leader Trait Protective is not working again, see pic 3. (Normal LH Trait, not focused one.)

Can you actually build it in multiple cities or just select and queue it (does the second one actually build)?

You can actually build them in EACH city, i did it, its in the savedgame. (T Columns)

I just tried to do this in my game with the Forbidden Place - it would only let me queue it in one city (as it should). Can you post a save where it lets you select a wonder in 2 cities at once please to debug from....

Edit - I loaded your save game and it would not let me attempt to build the Triumph Column in another city (tried in Lahore). However, it DOES let me try to build a Heroic Epic there,. so I will look into that...

Edit 2 - how long ago did you build the Heroic Epic? There is no bug in the current game I can find, but the problem is that it has not recorded that you already built it (which it should have done when it was built). Did you capture it from another player (does it survive capture?) or has that city always been yours? If it was built it recently, do you have an auto save that goes back to the turn it was built in?

BTW - a recalc fixes it

Hunting instruction no longer provides promotion to units, have tried building scout and tracker and none of them got it, probably caused by recent unit class changes.
It's not obsolete.

Hunting Instruction building goes obsolete with Military Instruction, you need a Master Sea Hunter to get the auto hunter 1 promo after that.
 
Its not giving me it hunter 1 either and this is at the beginning of the game with wanderers and chasers. Also, occasionally my cities will be building something and the production won't progress, ie it says 2 turns to go and the next turn its still 2 turns to go with no more production added. I don't have a save game of it because I can't predict when it'll happen. It happens on buildings, units and wonders.

Here is Another T Column being built in another city (besi8des the Capital already) also the Heroic Epic is being built IN the Capital, before it was ever built anyplace, plus i have not taken over any city that has ANY wonders in them.

btw i did a recalc and updated to 5539 in this savedgame

I cannot diagnose from this game because it is already corrupt. I will need one of the following things:

1) A save in which you can select a wonder to be built in two cities at once
2) A save in which you can STILL attempt to build a wonder you already have AFTER doing a recalc
3) A save in which you can build a wonder and then try to build it again in another city on the turn it completes (or the following one) - i.e. - the first copy is built after the point the game is saved
 
In my last game I upgraded all my longbow units to abqus...(whatever) I got a message saying that they had lost a promotion and I would need to choose a new one for them. naturally the units had finished their move with the upgrade. They did shine blue and I could give them a promotion but since there were so many of them I thought I would do it next turn. All of them were not able to get that replacement promotion next turn! Note: I do not have unlimited exp on I don't see how being expert with a spear means that you will be experienced with a rifle except when a bayonet is attached.

BTW should I be reporting the 4 assert errors I am getting in the dll when using debug?
 
What do you mean by corrupt? Heres the same one withOUT the new SVn and a recalc.

I mean it already has bad data in the save - i.e. - the bug happened sometime before. I'll need one of the three cases I listed in my previous post to actually catch the bug happening - it's occurring when the FIRST copy of the wonder is built (it's not recording it against the player). Recalc fixes this, so if you can STILL get it to happen after a recalc that is enough to analyse it.
