Single Player bugs and crashes - After the 24th of February 2014

Malaria is slightly different to other diseases and has been changed recently a save showing this problem would be useful. However I can't run maps larger than huge.

BtW I thought all autobuild buildings were removed once you did not meet the requirements for them!

Malaria will be different, once you have it you will be stuck with it until you find a cure and eliminate it from your lands or get the cure from someone else or there is a UN campaign to eliminate the disease costing 10% of each members GDP over 10 turns:D

I have stopped the Heroic II promotion from giving a golden age if you are already in a golden age. I did it before the release:crazyeye:

A bug report earlier stated it didn't work and they still can. Plus... isn't a full length golden age WAY too long for something as simple as a unit battle? Just put that unit back into the thick of battle once your golden age is done and you've got another GA to come at that point. If it's going to be a full on golden age then the promo should only allow it to be started once - then have more promos along the same promo line that would add more 'uses'. Or make the golden age it starts be 1/10 the span of a normal golden age for that player.

Whenever I enter Worldbuilder and attempt to adjust a cities culture, the game crashes to desktop.

This is making it difficult to test things inside broader cultural borders.

Don't ask me. I just stopped it getting a GA when there was one occurring. It is not my promotion. However that effect is the whole point of that promotion.

edit Perhaps it should loose the promotion or we should do something similar as the extra lives promotion and have a set of pseudo promotions that replace this one with diminishing returns until you have to get the promotion again.:mischief:
Heroic II + win combat but not in GA gives normal golden age, unit is moved back to capital, can't move for x turns and Heroic II changed to Heroic IIa

Heroic IIa + win combat gives but not in GA 50% GA, unit returned to capital and can't move, promotion changed to Heroic IIb

Heroic IIb - only 25% and heroic IIc

Heroic IIc - only 10% and loose all Heroic II promotions.

Justification for move back to capital and inability to move - propaganda and the GA itself - how else will the populace know that they are in a GA if the hero is not wined, dined and on public display.

If YOU'LL dont want it, i give my OK to delete it.

I'm not saying delete it... I gave a few other options as to how it could be included in a more balanced manner.

EDIT: I like your suggestion quite a bit there DH. Seems to me to be a perfect fit.

Whenever I enter Worldbuilder and attempt to adjust a cities culture, the game crashes to desktop.

This is making it difficult to test things inside broader cultural borders.

Try pressing Enter after entering numbers or adjusting drop down menus.

Rats! I was thinking this would be a great way to add to my 20-pop city. I haven't tried a smaller one. Thanks for the tip.

StrategyOnly (I think) was mentioning that he was trying to get rid of OOS errors in the multiplayer IIRC. My son and I have been playing, and we've found that a large number of OOS errors in simultaneous-play games *without a turn timer* are caused by one player clicking the End Turn button, then moving the mouse *even a little* before the other player ends his turns. Our rule has become, don't touch the mouse after you end your turn, until the next turn begins.

I haven't been able to build Colonists for a while - possibly since I got the SVN post-v33, and still on v34. However when I build a Settler, it instantly has the upgrade to Colonist available.

Twas me. And that really should not have any effect. The latest SVN should alleviate all OOS errors (that we've found anyhow) provided that you are playing without events and rev.

@ DH

OK i have been attacking only with regular units and i am still getting Great Hunters rather than Great Generals?? I have only gotten 1 GG and i am in Classical Era now?? pic 1

@ Hydro
can you PLS make a new btn for this thx. pic 2

@SO: Have you been watching your Great Military Person hover to track the point types you're accumulating?

No . . . what has that got to do with anything?? (Just looked didnt know this??) As shown in the pic, i fought with a normal unit so i should be given a GG not a GH?? If thats what DH said, points should be for GG and NOT GH??

I did before here. Did anyone put my file on the SVN?

Didnt work, unless something is in the TXT wrong??

Why can't Immigrants join bigger cities again? Just don't make sense since normally people tend to move INTO big cities. Is there a good argument for gameplay?
You will have to ask the maker of the mod Orion Veteran but I expect it is game play.

The Colonist and Pioneer are broken for non-human players allowing the humans to get much more in new cities than they should on a level playing field so they have been marked as not buildable. However to keep current games running they need to still be defined hence the upgrade. I can't remember if I removed the human cheat and replaced it with Platypings fix or not.

Mismatched btns and units are BACK:mad:

I dont remember who solved this last time, but is needed again!!!

The XML is correct but the btns are not matching the units in the pop-up (see pic 1 and 3, in pic 2/4 you can see that when you go into the city itself they are CORRECT??????:crazyeye:

EDIT: Last pic should be a grenadier type NOT a musket type??????????:crazyeye: Art points to gren type in XML.

Bug or Not, Furniture Tech which Mr Azure added before Christmas is Now a The main Preq for building any Religions Monasteries. But the 1 Trick Pony tech he put in the tech tree gives No indication of it's importance. This Tech needs to be removed imho and furniture put back on the original tech that gave furniture.

Complaint: Mr Azure's recent foray into C2C modding was for the most part poorly, if at all, supervised. He added tons of new bldgs and rearranged the tech tree after all of Vokarya's Hard and Detailed work was done to smooth out the Tech Tree. Pathing in the Tree is a rather convoluted mess now. For example getting to Mathematics by clicking on Mathematics in the tree sets a rather straight forward and not too long of a list of tech to go thru to get to it. But try doing the same for Alphabet! It's a total maze. There are other similar mazes in the tree now that the player has to fight thru but the AI does not.

Follow up EDIT: Once I researched Furniture Tech and Built my 1st Furniture Workshop (which Requires a Size 6 city! What for???), then I could build Monasteries in cities that had Buddhism in them. What a convoluted mess!
Not only that but when Furniture Bldg goes obsolete at Industrialism so do Monasteries.
