Single Player bugs and crashes v37 plus (SVN) - After the 24th of December 2016

Hi .
I launched my savegame after installing new SVN.
Also I choosed "recalculate assets".
Then, the game still crash after clicking end turn. it's really a definitive bug making this game end.
(maybe I could try to reload a previous save and see how far I can go after...).
I ve really no idea from where could come this crash.
Do you have any idea with the help of the dump & save file ?

Yes Please. Be sure to zip rar or 7z the minidump.dmp file or the forum will not let you upload it.
 
I'm not entirely sure, but I think the C2C World mapscript doesn't generate natural wonders. I can't find any in my current game and I can't remember the last time I saw one.
 
Map icon of suburbs looks like few straw huts which doesn't fit at all into the modern looks of cities at the time when suburbs become active. It seems that suburbs icon does not take the age at hand into account at all.

Lol, I knew there was something I'd forgotten to do with my mapscript.
I'll fix it within a week or so.

Got a CTD on a saved game after the last SVN, mini attached only, i went back and tried another savedgame and it worked, so again, no biggy on this ok, only do when u have time . .

Hi, so about my previous CTD : I've done all I could do, even reload a previous game (5 turns before). But there is nothing to do. Game still crash after a specific "end turn".

TB, our CTD expert, doesn't have much time for modding at the moment, it may take some time before he get around to debugging the minidump.
If you want the problem resolved faster, as I mentioned in my last post, you should upload the minidump that was generated with the latest SVN.
I'm sure there has been changes to the dll between the V37+patch to the latest SVN.
 
Yes actualy my dump file is : MiniDump_9624.dmp
I don't know if it's the good one.
Anyway, I'm looking in the "trunk" folder with Tortoise tool, and i don't see any .dmp file I could manualy download and put in the BTS folder.
 
When the game crash, a minidump file is generated in the bts folder.
The one you uploaded was generated when you got a CTD while you were playing v37+patch.
If you play with the latest SVN the minidump is still generated in the bts folder, and it might even have the same name as the one generated with v37+patch.
Same name doesn't necessarily mean that it's the same minidump, they were generated with different file assets which means the old one may contain data that is outdated and confusing for the one who is debugging.
 
Ok thanks, so here it's the latest minidump file I found in this folder. And windows date is effectively the last time I tried to play the game.

Using SVN 9651 and Not doing a Re-Calc here is your next turn. It played for me.

In the previous V37 patch version there was a strange bug with monument building. It kept appearing into the buildable buildings-section with a "built xxxx" text, xs meaning the year it was originally built. So it was possible to build and complete it endlessly but still it kept appearing.

Didn't notice this with any other buildings and have not seen it before or yet in the newest patch version.

Also, I have not seen some resources like tobacco or some drugs in tens of long games while others like figs, wine, resin and silk are always present. Coffee and sugar are also very rare. There must be something wrong in the mechanism how the game decides what resources will be in the map.

Do you consistently pick the same leaders for your games? Leaders will dictate to a degree where on a Map you will start. Also Map that you Pick to play will also contribute to resource scarcity or plenty.

Not really, my choices have been Brazil, Germany, France, Korea, Japan, Egypt, etc. With this absence of resources, I mean that there is no tobacco or sugar anywhere on my games and that seems really dumb if it is because the character I chose to play.

Oh well, have to try others I guess to see if it makes any difference but I can't understand why resources should nor could not be totally random on map as far as the tile types allow. Weird, illogical system.
 
Getting the following error on the latest (9656) svn. Not entirely sure if it's the svn, my save file, or something else. Issues only started after updating to a newer svn revision.
Failed to load python module CvRandomEventInterface.
Invalid syntax in iNumCoastalCities/player.getNumCities()).
If you want to look at the save, you have to load the AD file after loading the BC file. I think it's weird too.

As I've tried to point out it's a combination of factors. DH say totally random but I disagree from my extensive play time with C2C Before I became a team Modder. And Map Scrpits that are available for C2C usage are as wildly variable as they can be.

But Toffer has addressed some of your concerns over 2 of the resources. But I do not know if this is only applied to His C2C_World map or to others as well.
