When did this start showing up SO? My Big Game Bunter's rifle was fine just day before yesterday.

As you can see my Big Game Hunter in a current fully updated game has his normal shiny sword. No Pink to be found.
Perhaps it's your Graphics settings?

Or it's a different culture thus refers to a different graphic.

I guess you are using the steam version of the game, if so you will need to enter the game properties in steam and choose to use the beta version of the game. The beta version is the latest version that non-steam users use.
Steam borked up the game with an update when the gamespy servers went offline.
Sounds like @Thunderbrd mistake with recosting things - most likely he took obsoleting tech xgrid for this wonder instead of taking latest tech requirement (of highest Xgrid)
This is Platyping module wonder.
It requires TECH_REFRIGERATION - X68, there is no other tech things for this wonder.
Seems like cost modifier for wonder was misapplied on other way.
Here is fish market and three gorges dam, that is unlocked on same x grid for comparison.
It is 4.333x too expensive.

Refrigeration should Never obsolete Salt quarry much less smokehouse or icehouse. That to me is a bad decision someone made long ago. also just for this Great Person error again?? guess all of them did not get fixed .. . .

This error has been around since great statesmen got the new great person splash screen. (I don't remember which came first, great statesmen or the new splash screen ^^)
Fixed it now, SVN pending.

City of New Orleans which is located on NE shore of Asoka's mainland. Which is NE of my home island. Partisans are now on a Volcano tile defending east of NO along mountain range. Asoka has sent another Thug into N.O. as well. That makes 5. I just landed a troop transport with City guards and guard dogs to help fight the ever rising crime wave.

Nice empire
It appears only one your city has above 500 crime level. I guess this is one with aggressive partisan problem

Yes, but the recent updates I did to GS have helped quicken the pace from what it was. This game was started with 9731 SVN.
New Orleans has Asoka Thugs in it to overcome as well, 5 of them bad boys. And Ivan is trying to pick off my much needed transports that are bringing in more LE support. Naval battles along that coast line have picked up.
And did you notice only 1 AI is in real trouble? Wilhelmina had been taking the brunt of Ivan's forces. Darius dragged me into an active war with Ivan thru Defense Pact. All the while I've been selectively feeding Wilhelmina tech to keep her afloat.
Tokugawa is the lurking danger though. So I keep a wary eye to the west.
