Hmm this option might make animals hurt each other.
Negative. It would be the removal of the brown promos that were there to keep them from taking terrain damage where they shouldn't.

If you look at changes I did, you would see, that I removed them only from two subdued animals - place where such promotions shouldn't be here at all.

Those were only units with such promotions.

As for promotions themselves they are here.

I guess something in code relied on two subdued animals to have such promotions.

On my side I don't see hurt animals at all.

OK, I suppose I'm just saying that animals cannot be attacked by anything but a player if the Peace among NPCs option is on.
 
I usually see them well before turn 50 on Marathon. Haven't paid attention to precisely when, but I'd estimate turn 30 to 35.
 
Not sure if it's on purpose, but I'm mid-Modern Era and still without oil Painting (an early Renaissance tech). I have Atome Punk, but Oil painting is too complex for me :D
It is needed by Free Artistry, and that tech is needed by Lead Glass (dead end) and Romanticism.
Romanticism is needed by Wildlife Conservation (Needed by Ecology) and Realism (Needed by Impressionism -> Cubism/Expressionism and some more artsy techs and then some more).

I guess its loose tech, but you WILL have to research it when going to Information Lifestyle.

There are few techs, that can be skipped for two eras - that is if tech is in era X, then you will have to research it in era X+2 sooner or later.
 
So I was playing a game of C2C and noticed that when you turn viewpoints on and restart the game and enter world builder the map messes up not only does it do it in world builder it does it in general and yes I have the latest SVN I lost a game of 550 turns which took a while but I hope this message gets out to anyone else If the map messes up make sure you have viewpoints off right now it does not work the way it is supposed to..
 
@SRHdawg Viewports work by cutting the map into chucks, those chucks are still fully simulated but graphically they don't exist. See this for instructions.

But as @raxo2222 has said some time ago a new option called graphics pagination have rendered viewports almost obsolete, as it loads graphics in chunks like in the viewports but without it cutting the map into sections.

Darn I was thinking it was a glitch or bug.. Too bad I lost my save to it.. Oh well I had a amazing start and lost it all lol.. Oh and during that game my Exiles would not upgrade. Dunno why? I entered world builder to try manually doing it still wouldnt work.. Hopefully the SVN version has that fixed though

This is not exactly true. The option viewports is need for very low end comps that are still having issues with the Graphic paging option. Laptops in particular.

And I think if you insist on using something like Gigantic you are still much better off with both Graphic paging and viewports.

BUG/PROBLEM:

ARGH... theres a bug with new SVN update all my untis have 0.01 strength now? Can you fix it?

Started new game, I did not select "combat mod - Fight or Flight", but game plays like it is ON.

I moved new game option all way to bottom of file.
Now those bugs should disappear.

No idea why it functions so weirdly.
