Single Player bugs and crashes v38 plus (SVN) - After the 20th of February 2018

CTDs are much reduced now but I still got another one. I add the .txt to the dump file name to be able to upload it here without zipping it.

These appear to not be matching to the most recent dll assets... I'm not sure why. It sounds like you updated. But it's not connecting to the dll code like it should. So I'm not getting any useful information here.
 
My CTD (3 pages earlier) is corrected too, good job ;)

couple of small things??
1. When i try auto on the workboat, it does not go out and harvest kelp, intended??

2. Frog, no able to be used to get culture/edu??

1. No idea why. It has been that way for quite awhile. I suspect it is because there are upgrades to it that can build harvest kelp without being used up.

2. it is not a subdued frog but an amphibian colony, these can only build more amphibian ponds. Exactly as the hover pop-up says.
 
I haven't checked the saved game, but the most obvious hypothesis that comes to mind is that you now need to build the lunar cities on a Lunar Outpost improvement. Do you have any? That's something I need to make clearer somewhere because it would otherwise be hard to figure out.
Thank you, building a Moon city on a Lunar Outpost does work.
 
A new CTD with current SVN. This happened while the view changed from one city to the next at the beginning of the turn when I am asked for what to build in my cities.

Added: Another one while switching from one city to the next, this time while being on the main map and using these tiny white arrows above the flag.

Add new entries for each one inside Assets\XML\Text\Global_CIV4GameText.xml.

It could be the same phrase with (Forced) at the end so it would look like: Terraform towards Plains (Forced).

I'm not sure why these minis aren't working for me but they aren't. Sorry.
 
Better to put them in Assets\XML\Text\Captives_Build_CIV4GameText.xml

Why?
I already put these to global text file.

To place similar things in the same place, I had forgotten about this file so I suggested adding the entries to the one where the normal ones were present.

I fear the issue you're having is lack of memory as the game tries to render and parse the things inside a city. Could you open your task manager while you boot and try to change city view to see if it really is a memory issue?
 
CPU doesn´t really change, also memory. But it is interesting that GPU usage changes quite a lot and there seemed to even be a spike of 100% when I had the CTD. Good hint, I will explore further...

Added: OK, there is a spike of GPU 3D that goes to 100% but I am not sure if this happen with the CTD or shortly afterwards. I will try to change the graphics setting inside Civ 4 and see whether that changes anything.

2nd edit: I have chnaged the graphics settings to low, turned the Graphics Paging and the Viewports on and off and nothing helped. Still getting these CTDs when switching city views a number of times from one city to the other

GPU 3D means that the graphic portion is handled by the CPU. Interesting issue, once I get home I will play a bit with your save (that you shared when there was that lunar settler issue) and try to replicate your crash.
