Single Player bugs and crashes v40 plus (SVN) - After Oct 2019

Did you update it to latest SVN (11100)? There were multiple releases within day.
updated the svn 30 minutes ago, recalculated the assets and waited 10 minutes for the next turn but the game did not move to the next turn(normaly turns take less then a 1minute)

Go to BUG settings and unselect "hide obsolete/unavailable worker actions"

That option needs fixing.

Offshore platform improvement gets upgrade on Superstrong Alloys, but that improvement can't be build by Offshore Platform unit.
Extraction Facility unit, which is upgrade of Offshore Platform unit can build upgraded version of said improvement.

Hide Obsolete/Unavailable Worker Actions seems to assume all upgrades of most basic improvement are available on all worker units.
Spoiler :

Added Superstrong Alloy tech in worldbuilder

Unselecting this option shows all worker actions (Obsolete....).
Need to click somewhere else like on city for unit action bar to reload.

something wonky here, every attack on a city i get a new Great Gerald, EVERY time each unit that attacks . . .

save and a pic inside zip
Its case of overflow.

@billw2015 can fix it or at least clamp it so it doesn't overflow.

EDIT: seems the Big GH stopped the overflow , it is at the + side again and not the _

EDIT EDIT: and then next turn back to the minus stuff with Greats .. .:crazyeye:

Lol, sounds EXACTLY what I like doing with Cheat Engine when I get bored - spamming (and settling) Great Generals like popcorn through overflowing the GP points.
But this is more boring than useful most of the time, so I'm now running an honest game (well, I'm still at Settler against AI's Noble, but I don't care, lol).

also as in before about the extraction fac, it cant be used as a fishing boat either , sometimes, cant figure out what to build, Extra Fac, fishing boat, or what to get things to work?? oh well

Unselect "hide obsolete worker actions" in bug settings - it gets BROKEN by Atomic and later eras.

Also look at pedia to see what units can settle on resources - look at improvement and resource pages.
Pedia works almost instantly

Fishing/Whaling boats is for animal/plant life, and offshore/extraction facility is for minerals and energy.

Looks like the old Drilling Platform icon was replaced with a Fishing Boat icon at some point in the past. Changing the pic/icon of this would help make it easier to use.

Do you mean the 3d unit art or the button? I noticed the difference in the unit art myself. It kinda makes sense that a workboat would leave the drilling platform if that's what it does but yeah something changed there because it used to be the platform itself that you'd move out of the city to the site it would be placed.

Yep the unit art. And used just like you described.

Yeah its a good tossup question as to whether it should appear like the drilling platform when it's still moveable into place or as a workboat vessel. The first option would make it more clear what you have to work with there as a player whereas the second is more realistic, where the drilling platform is left behind after the job is complete. I mean if we're going to go with the 2nd option, why not just make the improvement something standard workboats put in place with a build for that rather than having a whole specific unit for it?

I'd like to report a UI issue that likely only arises with Complex Traits, there are many traits that have so much information attached to them in their hover popup that it is impossible to read it all, here is an example in the screenshot:

There are some coding things that CAN be done here but...
@Toffer90 Can the tool tip be widened enough to resolve the issue? I'm thinking that would be the simplest method. I could certainly be wrong.

Not without moving the code for the build suggestion pop-up from dll to python like I suggested to bill when he reworked it recently and asked some similar questions.
He was intent on reworking it himself though, probably wanted to get more familiar with UI stuff which is a good thing all in all, which is partly why I didn't insist.
Secondary reason was that I had little time for modding at the time he looked into improving that pop-up.
In other words, I have no idea on how to widen the vanilla tooltip which is currently used there.

Edit: I thought we were talking about the city build suggestion pop-up, though there's little difference in that and the trait selection pop-up, so my answer would have been very similar.
