Skyrim - The Elder Scrolls V

Can you rename stuff after you enchant it? Or only while enchanting? I always use potions to beef my enchanting, and I was under the impression that the clock is ticking while you're in the enchanting menu (I tested it and thought so, maybe my test was flawed), so I don't bother naming anything but I hate searching through my 20 silver rings/gold necklaces/whatever to find the one that I want to wear.

Only during enchanting can you rename your weapons and items.

But be warned if you're on a PC since the process is a bit buggy. Here's a youtube instructions:

(This applies not just the Enchanter in Whiterun)

Some more hints and tips (To help boost your enchanting skills):

What's the video synopsis? I am already using alchemy to create fortify enchanting potions, plus using fortify alchemy armor to beef alchemy while doing so--is there something I am missing? Enchanting is maxed out but I have not fully beefed up my alchemy tree, and I am already level 55 so perks are very few and far between, so I am not getting full power potions.

Is there a console command to rename items?

You could always think of a name BEFORE you enchant your stuff.

It's not the time thinking, it's the precious seconds wasted typing in the name.

Does "ctrl V" work inside the game to paste the name from elsewhere?

Usually it doesn't unless it's actually a keybinding option.

In other news, I beat the main quest! :D

Spoiler :
Tragicly I wasn't quick enough to get a screenshot of my smexy Argonian riding off on the dragon clad in Daedric armor..

Mods are getting weirder and weirder:

And all the bronies of skyrim rejoiced at the coming of the ponyborn.

I just wonder what kind of crazy stuff people will do once the actual mod tools are released.

What in OBLIVION is THAT?!! :ack:

An unarmed finishing move on bears is cool though.

orly :crazyeye:

I'd download the mod if there were a variety of ponies. Not because I'm a pony fan, but because this is so goddamn hilarious.

Plus if you really hate them, you can kill them. :p

Cue the Benny Hill theme when killing dragonponies.

I'd just like to announce that the boss fight with Morokei the Dragon Priest is the worst bit of game design I have ever come across.

Morokei was the first dragon priest that i encountered. It gave me the (false) impression that dragon priests are easy to kill. (i was level 25-30) My char is a mage.
The next 2 dragon priests have been much harder to kill. (only encountered 3)

I am a Mage, specialising in Conjuration. Since he can turn any of your conjurations, I am having to resort to using bounded weapons and endless amounts of potions. I'll take about 1/10 of his health off and then I'm dead.
Probably doesn't help I'm only level 18.

Killed him with dual wield incinerate, Lydia and some potions.
