Skyrim - The Elder Scrolls V

There is some sort of limit at 80 I think (so even if you reach that point you don't have enough perks to fill all skills). However, past level 50, levelling up starts to take a LOT of time apparently. So if you do reach the 70s, you'll probably have completed everything in the game and done five thousand miscellaneous random quests.

Am I the only one who has thieves spawning in Riften? They keep spawning and getting killed by guards, but their bodies stay there. I drag them and dump them in the forge, I think I have 3 dead thieves in the forge now. There is also a bugged thief in the inn that keeps running around, confused, and nobody notices him. He's always there.

How exactly do these miscellaneous quests work? Are they the, "the bard won't leave me alone, go beat him up" type quests? How are these random? Surely if there's dialogue and a story pre-set it can't be random. Is the voice acting all mishmashed or something?

I didn't know they were random. They are everywhere though. It is slightly annoying that most of them don't seem to have a map marker, even though if you click "show on map" they will take you to the part of the map where you should be looking. It took me forever to find Aventus Arentino, or the Redguard woman for instance.

Not necessarily a bad thing though... perhaps i am too used to the quest marker holding my hand through everything.

Rumbrum: Why the forge?

It's like a dumpster I guess? And because it's funny.

Why do thieves spawn there and what's the downside?

I have now over a day of gameplay and am still lvl 24 - I've just now went to the place where you can join the Stormcloak rebellion and also to the place where you can join the Empire crackdown.

The map is huge and I'm having a ton of fun!

I don't know why they keep spawning. Maybe because I've been doing some quests for the Thieves Guild in that town? If so it's kind of sad as these guys keep getting slaughtered by the guards. I did a search for "thieves keep spawning in Riften" and the first result in Google was this very thread so I dunno.

This is why I don't really like having a horse. This horse will, 75% of the time, charge at enemies and get killed while I frantically try to get the enemy's attention. It's like I have to dismount way before enemies to make sure it stays back. Then walk back to the horse... And dismount all the time to pick ingredients.. And... well it ends up being faster not to use the horse.

"Where's the damn horse now" *looks up on the weird battlement/suspended bridge* "Goddamnit you stupid horse! How did you even get there"

My horse died during the battle of Winterhold town during the college of winterhold questline. Horses are useless if you are an alchemist and like to pick herbs. I might consider it next game if I decide to go heavy armor and 2 hander, but even then alchemy is nice to have. Who can resist picking all those pretty herbs? :)

My biggest problem right now if finding someone with enough money to buy all my potions. They are taking up a lot of weight in my inventory. I know, I should have ditched them before heading to labyrintha. I don't store them in the hopes of selling them one day.

At least you haven't killed two horses by riding down a very small cliff. :( One's been killed by a dragon, and I'm not sure what happened to the other. I dismounted to fight a couple dudes and then couldn't find it afterwards. I think it got lost.

 Horse says: "I got this one boss, don't worry!"

Yeah, this pretty much sums up my experiences with horses in Oblivion. I spent like 90% of my savings to buy a horse, ride it a good 200 feet out of town, when all of a sudden a bear spawns and begins mauling it. So I dismount, at which point the horse immediately begins pealing off into the wilderness with the Bear close behind and me a good 50 feet further back. Poor sucker didn't even stand a chance :(

Whats it like? Im about two weeks of the wow (thank you jesus) i was wondering if this game will be like my wow methodone?

For smithing I've found the most efficient way to level is to travel between Solitude, Whitehaven and that small hamlet at the beginning buying all of their iron bars and some leather for strips to make daggers. Also Dwarven ruins have a bunch of junk you can melt down to make ingots, I got over 200 out of one place which is great for cash.

I think it'd be cool if a dragon eats my horse.

Skyrim is a million times better than WoW (or any MMORPG for that matter).
If that's the case, now I really want the game. Though I never played any of the others .

If you want to make cash go to the Halted Streams Camp. You'll find a Transmute Metal spell which you can use to turn iron ore into silver and silver ore into gold ore.
