Skyrim - The Elder Scrolls V

I wonder how the update will affect the crafting mods?

"Hey guys check us out tomorrow we have a big DLC announcement!"

*Bethesda photoshops glowy eyes on pre-existing image of a Nord, writes "Dawnguard" on top, says "coming this summer". Calls this big announcement*

Yo dawg, we heard you like announcements, so we put an announcement in your announcement so that we can announce things we are going to announce.

Yeah, too bad its going to be a console exclusive like they did with Dead Money .

How many people choose to buy the game on xbox 360 specifically to make sure that they have access to the DLC content one month early? A number that is irrelevant.

How many people will go out and buy a second copy of the game on the xbox 360 just so they can play the DLC one month early? A number that is irrelevant.

So what's the point of this Microsoft? To annoy people who bought it on other systems so that next time they buy a console, they might remember this kind of crap and go for xbox gaming? I think so. Except it's not gonna work. Stop it.

So what's the point of this Microsoft?

I'm rather curious about this too. The question is who is making this decision? Your statements imply you believe it to be Microsoft, but I would think it would be that of Bethesda. Possibly Microsoft is paying Bethesda for the early release?

It's only 30 days. I'm sure us PC players will be able to wait that little bit of extra time. Nothing to lose sleep over.

*sigh*. Wrong issue. Don't care about a month.

Personally, and I'm sure it's the same for most people, it's not the actual waiting that's annoying. I don't care about a month, nobody will lose sleep over it. What makes my ... boil is when people don't make sense. My original post is basically a plea for them to tell us how this practice makes sense or is advantageous for anyone.

Right now, the advantages I'm seeing are for Bethesda, maybe receiving a *unknown amount* load of money from Microsoft. Can't say I blame them for taking the money. So the question is why Microsoft is willing to do this kindda crap. I think Microsoft is most likely dead wrong about every assumption of profit that can be obtained from doing this. Whether they assume people will go out right away and buy a new copy of Skyrim just to play the DLC right now, or they assume people chose to buy an xbox copy back in November JUST so they could play the DLC early (99% of people probably weren't even aware this was an issue), or whether they assume this will have a future effect on anyone who has to choose between an XBOX or a PS3 when buying a console ("better get an xbox because their games get DLC early" ?? Which isn't even always true); they are most likely very wrong on all accounts. So it doesn't make sense to me, and this is what annoys me. Things that don't make sense.

Because who cares about one month.

Well I guess someone has to betatest the dlc before it is published on pc an ps3 ;)

Didn't know they did that with Bethesda games.

Seriously though, I'll look forward to E3 to see what the DLC will be about.

Too bad what happens is that the games found on Xbox then also make their way to the PS3 and PC because even though they were detected before launch, it's not worth it to fix them, people will still buy them.

Do we know what percent of skyrim players play on PC versus consoles?

Holy fork, since when do dragons attack cities ?
I want to use the smelter in Whiterun and suddenly I read 'You can not use this during combat'. I turn around and everybody has their weapon drawn and the beast just sits on the city wall.

Then all hell breaks loose.

It finally decides to land.

And that's that.

I've never seen anything like this happen before.

I was in Winterhold when a dragon attacked, first in the Guild of Mages where it was handily seen off, and then in the town where my help was sorely needed!
