When the combatants were brought into isolation by midnight, neither had a clear lead over the other. The betting officials grumbled though, since only 112 gold had been bet in total on both sides, and they hoped they would get more to do towards morning. After all, no contestant could be so STUPID as to miss a bet, and the chance to win points, RIGHT?
