Turn 1
4000 BC
From the shadow of ignorance, We, Hatepshut J. Pharoh, do boldly arise and proclaim this to be the Dawn of Time. Soon thereafter, Our fellow-yet-lesser village dwellers humbly forget all that happened before the Dawn of Time so as not to make Us sound a fool.
The goodie hut formerly known as Egypt is now the civilization known as Egypt.
We inform the peanut gallery that they have the fortune of performing Our bidding for the next 6,000 years. Surprisingly, the din of their joyous shouts don't actually deafen the local fauna, as We had imagined it might.
We tell them that, should We set Our thrown atop the world, looking down upon all the lesser souls, the populous must belch forth a warrior for the offing of Egypt's enemies. One brave soul approches. His name is Bob.
. Bob has made Egypt a powerful nation indeed!
We teach the villagers the new-fangled art of city-building. No longer shall we all live in hovels. We name Our new "city" Thebes.
The gleam and wonder of Thebes has engulfed Our vastly inferior neighbors. They gleefully offer a map of local surroundings.
A closer look at Thebes reveals that We shall not need to behead our governor. We approve of his choice.
Our royal grace commands the city to bring forth a worker.
Those cows ain't gonna milk themselves, you know.
A studious decipher of Our new "map" reveals that the gods smile not upon Egypt.
The sages assure Us that the northern wilderness hides more savages and their "enlightenment" should yield more goodies.
We command Bob to bravely trek where no Egyptian has gone before. Goody hut ho!
Our sages believe that all the world is equally screwed.
Perhaps the gods aren't quite as bent upon Our destruction as We thought.
Turn 2
3960 BC
Our sages wish to experiment. Perhaps, they tell Us, cattle can be more than just decoration.
We dream of seven fat cows, seven lean cows, and an interpretation that can't possibly come until monotheism...
Turn 3
3920 BC
Bob, stalwart explorer that he is, bravely rounds a hill to reveal that we are isolated to the west.
Bob also spies fishes.
Alas, he sees nothing else near by to warrant a city near said fishes. Worse, unless We have Toku in this game, We'll have no sushi.
Turn 4
3880 BC
After agonizing deliberation, We have decided to press enter.
