Honestly, this is just one of those hard-to-predict fields because you have so many maniacs that could just come in and flip the table at any point in the game. I'd be happy just to have more than Zero points at the end!

Sal's start is not exciting, but I think he can ride things out a while and get some decent land that should sustain him. I like Toku's start and position the most although he likely has the most barb issues next to Boudi. HC's start seems like a trap to me, but that probably comes from the "human" perspective. I like Shaka a lot here too.

Yeh, I think that start is a lot better for the AI than for a human. Just pretty hard to get a bad position quickly out of that. Could be a quick game if he randomly beelines construction or something. Still I am definitely not predicting a HC victory.

Huayna's got a triple-gold plains-cow start. Literally the golden calf. Can you imagine him NOT winning? Well, I can, but only if it's to Saladin who ALSO has a plains-cow tile in his first ring. Shaka FTD because he's so isolated from any plains-cow tiles.

I also think plains cows are a lot better for the AI than for a human player, because the AI doesn't handle a lot of very well. And plains cows are a lot better than their reputation anyway.

HC and Giggles have a decent chance to stomp this game, but can they avoid daggering each other?
Well, they both fav. hereditary rule, start the game guaranteed at Pleased, and give a big boost with the same religion. Maybe they can make it work

I changed my mind. The bottom left looks pretty bad land for early game except Peter's capital. I'll pray Toku can get a tech lead and take Boudica's land while she tussles with Napoleon.
1st to Die - Shaka (feels like Peter and Gilgamesh will both be eying him pretty hard. Shaka needs to take Peter's copper in the first few turns)

I did not find Gilgamesh, Huayna Capac, Julius Caesar, or Peter to be much more than inert in my tests, with each placing second at least once, and the first two racking up quite a few kills. Saladin and Napoléon were frontrunners, and I sided with the former due to more predictable victory patterns. Napoléon is a great pick, but the synergy is unreliable. First-to-die and second are both very competitive. It is possible we will see four 1v1s converge roughly around the same turn (muddying the first category) and ending with a low war count.

But let's be clear: there are no favorites, and this is a game of chaos living up to the Wildcard tradition. For example, in one game, an AI lost their capital to barbarians 3 times and only fully regained it around T50
