Team Game - Isolated Pacal (Deity)

Boat was 2T late for city settle doing that. Did get more hammers though.

Just looked at my original mine > chop with 2T boat again and it actually gets 8T settler, not 9T. That looks best.

I've nothing to add. I trust whatever micro you make and there's not much between the different options.

Okay so i did play 8t, will put in report shortly.

Used Izuul's micro for boat + settler.

Barb Archer appeared near 2nd city spot, i moved away and scouted for seafood (nothing :)).
Would have been too risky taking that fight imo, we had no backup units.

Also an Archer east, retreated there as well to buy time.
I think we should revolt into slavery now while building the copper road (and also while settler moves). Next build can be an Axe if we take Anarchy.

Too bad SH is gone.. could've put 1T into it, then build an Axe. We don't really need any more warriors right now.

I would probably switch into slavery even with SH still there :)
It's barb rush time now, and we might be forced into whipping an Axe if they overwhelm our woodie warrior cos we cannot protect 2nd city then.
That might not happen, but it's very risky without slavery..we know there's one archer close south, if they are 2 we need an Axe fast.

Agree with going for an axe as soon as possible, we don't really know how far down the island goes.

Our cities will be connected through coast in 11 turns (or 12 with slavery) so I wouldn't bother roading between them. I think it's more beneficial to chop a granary in 2nd city (prechop/mine grassland hill). Then it should finish in time on size 2.
In short I like revolting to slavery, roading the copper, chopping an axeman, chopping granary for 2nd city.
If we stop fogbusting we can try to give the axeman 10XP and unlocking the HE. Should be doable as it's out so early. Depends on the size of the island.

Agree with Rusten. Roading to 2nd city (after connecting copper) with the worker would only be 5T faster than getting the city connection via border pop. That doesn't seem worthwhile in comparison to chopping.

Good question on pottery, Lain.
I guess exp granaries are too good, and we can also build 2 green cottages for Mutal (giving Pigs to 3rd city for monument & granary).
So yep i would say pottery, it's not that expensive.

What about our chased warrior? :)
Would be useful as city guard (soon), but we have to consider that barb archer can reach Mutal in 4t.
We will not have an Axe ready so soon without whipping, so another option would be moving 1se and distracting him (can also win if lucky).

Would say next settler after securing the barb situation with Axes, once we can clear some jungle we need ~2 more workers.
Sounds like plenty tasks for Mutal, IW should be good before writing with other stuff to do than library.

Played a bit.

T39: Revolt into slavery, start roading copper, move warrior as bait for the barb
Spoiler :

T40: Settled 2nd city. Lakamha started on monument. The fight went...

Spoiler :

Will move back now and probably retire as city guard for Mutal (size 5).

T41: Move on forest to start chopping for Mutal.

T42: Successful bait warrior moving back, other warrior won a fight vs archer... losing would have meant whipping the axe. Now it's all fine.

T44: Chop finished in Mutal ... kind of want to put that into a settler. Thoughts? Could whip that ... with Lakamha taking the lake next turn anyway. Then again, maybe just working coast and speeding up Iron Working is better. No need to settle 3rd city "asap"?

The more I think about it, whipping doesn't make sense, especially without Granary.

Worker probably wants to get into position for Granary chop (Lakamha)

That went well :)
I think we want all possible sea tiles we can get for teching IW, Lakamba with lake next turn and Mutal would still have okay production with 1f coast.
Would also work that over forest this turn.

I think with coast and lake (Lakama taking lake next turn) we can get Pottery in 2T and knock a considerable amount of turns off of IW.

Is it worthwhile (starting next turn) to work corn + copper + pigs mine + 2x coast in Mutal? 1T slower settler, but at least 2T faster IW. That should pay off.
