The CFC OT Tea Thread

It's a Discworld reference, you person who hasn't joined my mafia game.

Coffee is my usual go to, but a good Yorkshire Tea can't be beaten!

I like tea fine, but coffee almost always occupies its space. I'm left wondering if Long Island has taken up half the tea ration in my life...

Though, sweet teas, now that I think about it, I never glommed onto those for some reason. They seem popular enough.

Real answer though, usually green or white. Just some excuse to not just be drinking hot water when it's late, usually.

I feel you about coffee taking its space.

A few years ago I would have totally agreed. Coffee is so much nicer than tea. These days I cannot drink that much coffee 'cos I cannot take the caffeine, and some form of infusion is great to take its place when I want a hot drink while sat at my computer working and need something.

Heresy.
Although I suspect I may belong to the last generation of my family that loves tea.
My brother and sister both drink a lot of tea but their partners don't (herbal doesn't count) and none of our children do.

I'd rather drink tea than decaf coffee. Decaf is a lie.

Decaf is an abomination.

Apparently, you can get Half Caff at Tim Hortons.
They fill the cup half way with decaf and the rest of the way with regular coffee.

Drinking tea is cultural appropriation for capitalistic profits; it supports Imperialism and the monarchy! Free the tea bags!!

I use capsule coffee machine which is ideal variant for me. It makes espresso and lungo.
Keep a dozen or so decaf capsules for those rare cases when I want to drink coffee at night.
Though I prefer normal coffee too, decaf tastes the same to me, if I didn't knew couldn't tell which one I'm drinking.

We go out on Sundays for coffee/breakfast.

Today's mocha.

Or I'll get a flat white. With a scone.

At home I just have freeze dried string coffee. At night I'll drink milk/water/tea.

But this thread is about tea!

Today I had chai tea while at my parents'. Somehow, I have run out at home, and they had it in stock, so it was the obvious choice when the time came for an afternoon cuppa.

At home, my go-to lately has been Yorkshire Gold. It's one of my favorite blends. I almost want to have some now that I'm thinking of it, though it's far too late.

I'll also have herbal teas in the later hours. The most frequent ones lately have been South African, either Rooibos and Honeybush, or Honeybush, Mandarin, and Orange. It's hard to beat a good rooibos for an herbal tea.
